We recently embarked on redoing our guest room. We wanted to repurpose a stucturally fine, but dated dresser. My husband did a great job painting the dresser and then lightly distressing (similar to the painted furniture pieces currently showing in Pottery Barn). We then wanted to dress it up with hardware and these knobs add the perfect transition that says casual elegance. They play nicely off of our other aged metal finsihes including nail head trimmed upholstered headboard. The con of all of the anthropology knobs is, the threaded poles are so long that you can not install and leave as is. Your clothes would get ruined if they came in contact with the poles (pulls on silks etc..). So you need to cut threaded poles.... easy enough i f you have a pipe cutter. We didn't, but bought one in home depot (husband said good to have around house), but for others its one of those unforseen costs. A friend told me she took her purchase to home Depot and asked them to cut for her. They graciously did. Don't know if they charged for same or did gratis

Stunning profile. Large, dynamic back-plate, lovely glass centerpiece. Knob screw too short for the depth of the back-plate, and the glass knob shatters easily (and dangerously, with explosive shards). Bought 4 for a bathroom vanity--one broke upon installation. Replaced it and another broke within the week. Purchased 2 more this time, just in case, and as of today have 2 knobs intact of the 7 bought, so I'm putting the original copper pulls back on. BUT--these would work for furniture that doesn't get as much use--say, an ornamental side-board or an overhead cupboard.

I bought 10 of these knobs for a dresser I was having made. When the manufacturer was finished and tried to put on the knobs, they told me that some of the knobs would not tighten. We realized it was because the glass part is actually just GLUED ON to the screw. The gold accent on the glass does not actually go all the way through. These knobs are BEAUTIFUL, and look great on the dresser, but the price for the quality is not worth it. While we were installing, one of the knobs actually came off the screw. I don't think these knobs will stand up to everyday wear and tear. They might be good for something decorative.
