by craftysunday On the fence about recommending this one...
I bought two of these tanks recently, in cream and black, figuring they'd go under just about anything, which, they do. These tanks are silky, smooth, and comfortable. The tag is easily removed to make the tank reversible (I didn't even need a seam ripper, just my fingernails and some careful pulling!). Wearing them tucked in (yes, they do ride up a bit) under tees, blouses, and sweaters, they've smoothed me out and provide a nice warming layer on the colder days we've had so far this season.
Now. For the not so great part. While the black tank is in great condition after several wearings and washings (gentle cycle, lay flat to dry), the cream one is a pilled and pulled disaster. I am baffled why one tank, which I've actually worn less than the other (maybe 3 times?) and washed once, would be in such terrible shape. The surface is filled with tiny black fabric pills, and the fabric is pulled in weird ways that make it...fuzzy. It's hard to describe, so I've provided a picture for reference.
This is where I'm on the fence for a recommendation (which is required). I really like this tank, and several sales associates have recommended it to me before. Maybe certain colors have a different fabric make up that makes them wear and wash better? I don't know. I like this tank, but think it's a little risky to buy full price. Wait for a sale, if you can!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mollie14 Poor Quality
On 7/15/2011 I bought a Reversible seamless tank in white which costs $24.00. In the past I have always been happy with the quality of Anthro's merchandise, however, this tank top has proven to be very poor quality. The fabric looks extremely worn and picked and I have only worn it a handful of times under other garments and have been careful washing it with like fabrics.
I would like to submit a formal complaint about this article and share that it does not represent the quality that Anthro typically upholds.

I was desperate for a new Eloise stretchy cami... and was in love with the old simple cami (but they are very worn out now)... so I decided to give the new version a try... it just isn't the same... the tank is not as long and it continually creeps up off your hips so you are constantly pulling it down over your pants (unlike the old one that kept in place and was very stretchy.
Please, Please, Please!!! Bring back the old Eloise Simple Camis!!!
