I bought this bed in the twin size for my daughter's room. It is beautiful and very well made(extremely sturdy). I like that you can remove the canopy and have a lower profile bed as well. You just screw the ball finials on the posts and it looks good that way too. It's pricey yes, but it is definitely a high quality piece that you will have a long time.

Why did Anthro discontinue the twin size? It is perfect as a daybed or for a little girl's room... so elegant, classic, and simple. Please bring back the twin!

I had been wanting this bed for a really long time. Before I finally purchased this, my king-size bed was on the floor. I think this bed frame may be sturdier for a smaller bed. There are not many support beams to hold the box frames on a king-size bed. When this bed was initially set up for me (a very nice added perk with the delivery, by the way! I had expected to have to assemble it myself), the bed was on a hardwood floor. I don't think this bed works on hardwood floors at all. On the king-size, there are two v-shaped posts that are intended to support the weight in the middle of the bed. These posts move quite easily with any movement on top of the bed. Thus, the bed would "walk" away from the wall at the head. I had to push it back in place almost every day. I tried putting rubber mats just under the v-shaped posts, but it still didn't work. I even tried taking the mattresses off the frame and tightening everything to no avail. Finally, I purchased a rug to go under the bed. So far, this has worked very well! No more movement. The bed appears very delicate and airy and is really beautiful.
