Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful dress, hard to justify the price This dress was absolutely beautiful on! I typically wear a 2/4 at Anthro to accomodate my bust, however the cut of this dress is incredibly forgiving, and a 0 turned out to be the correct size. The attached belt was flattering, hit nicely below the bust, and could be expanded in width to better define the waist. If you're under 5'7" heels are a must! I am wearing sandals in the pictures and the hem of the dress was just touching the floor. The things that kept me from purchasing the dress were: the delicacy of the beading at the neck, the poor sewing of the beads and the belt, and the full polyester lining of the dress. Construction was otherwise elegant, but at this price point, I require perfection. June 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dowdy, strange neckline, terrible belt. The styling of this dress on the model is completely different from the styling of the dress in life. The belt is sewn at an empire waistline, and extends down 5 inches. It is not possible to bunch it up as it is seen here. Additionally, the v-neck is extremely shallow, exposing very little of the decolatage, which - when coupled with the full back, voluminous amount of fabric used in the construction of the torso, and sleeves of this dress - looks quite dowdy and old fashioned. However, the fabric is gorgeous - as is the bead-work. Sadly, Peter Som's conception of the female body in clothing simply does not work on my body type. August 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful Print I just received this dress and I really like it. I'm glad it is on sale, I don't think I would have liked it as much at full price. After reading the reviews, I did size down. I'm 5'9, 36DD, and usually a 12 but ordered an 8 and I'm so glad I did. The hem skims the floor and the chest and arms are fitted. I may have been able to fit a 6 in the rest of the dress due to the empire waist and overall styling; it is pull on with no zippers or structure. I was able to wear the sash bunched up like the picture, wide and flat, tied in the back or tied in the front, it is very versatile! I love the blue colour with the hints of red. The fabric is flowy and light. The beading along the neckline adds a bit of visual interest and I didn't mind the design of this feature. Purchasing this dress on sale is a must but be sure to size down! September 27, 2013

San Francisco native Peter Som launched his namesake line in 2001, drawing upon his lifelong love of sketching, the aesthetic influence of his architect parents and the Bay Area's easy elegance. Som's premiere collection for Anthropologie, featuring his signature audacious prints and couture detailing, pays homage to the witty, wanderlusty, confident woman who wears what she loves without ambivalence, and with a wink. Here, Som adds beading and embroidery to the bodice of his flowing silk A-line; we'd keep jewelry to a minimum to let the sparkle speak for itself.
