Rated 5 out of 5Â by aprilneverends thoughtful book about style
this is a great little book that contains, besides useful and chic advice, interesting interviews with people who work in the world of fashion and style, and their contemplations on the subject. In my opinion, that's what's making this book different, in a good way. Deeper, more thoughtful, more substantial. Yes, substantial, even on seemingly elusive subject like style.
Oh, and the pictures are gorgeous.

I am quite impressed with this book. Although many may argue that the French are no more stylish than other European nations or even Americans, the book is actually about the concept of style and what it means to develop one's own personal style. I find the suggestions to be valuable and the interviews of people working in the industry are of interest. I think this is a wonderful gift for anyone, including yourself, who enjoys shopping at Anthropologie.

Style is more important than fashion. This book proves it in a great way. The pictures are inspiring, the interviews with top fashion professionals are interesting to read, the pieces of advice are worth following, the vocabulary is sophisticated. Good book to keep and to give as a gift. I guess it's intended for more creative and liberated personalities but also can be informative and extremely useful for those who still don't understand what style means and want to learn how to pick, combine and wear the clothes to look less ordinary.
