I definitely was hoping I'd not like these jeans because they're a bit pricey but I am SO in love.
I would say they run true to size if you want the fit the model has on. I'm 5'11", 150-ish, hourglass shaped and athletic. I'm a 29 in 7s, Earnest Sewns and J Brand but I ordered the 28 AND 29 in this jean and I am keeping the 28. It's a tighter, sexier fit and I would say the 29 was a touch too large in the waist. If you're between sizes and want a tighter fit, definitely size down. If you DO size down - start your crunches now if you plan to tuck your shirt in. True size will be more forgiving.
There is some whiskering across the front but it's very subtle and adds some nice depth.
Jeans are on the thin side - perfect for spring, summer and fall. Denim is definitely substantial and not "cheap" feeling.
The inseam is long. I'm 5'11" and need to wear a 3+ inch heel to keep them off the ground. That said, legs for DAYS. Super flattering fit.

I was really surprised by these jeans. Based on the previous reviews, I was expecting a pair of truly high-waisted, retro 1970's-style jeans. I think that on a shorter-waisted person than I, they might indeed be "high," but I have a fairly long torso, so on me they were more like a medium rise. This was disappointing, since I've been obsessed with these jeans since I first saw them and nearly fainted when I realized they were on sale. The color is also disappointing, since I found it to be quite a bit lighter than it looks in these photos (that might be due to my monitor however; someone else might disagree). Oddly, just as in the photos on this site, the back looked higher than the front. The back also gaped quite a bit, which is not a problem I would expect to have with high-waisted jeans that fit properly on the waist. In all fairness, however, I have normal-sized hips for my size but a very, very small waist, so the real culprit might be my figure rather than the design of the jeans. If I end up purchasing them, I will have to have the waistband taken in a little bit to prevent the gaping. The denim is substantial and soft, and the quality is very good. Even though they were not as high in the rise as expected, they were flattering and felt nice. The "flare" is substantial and would properly qualify as a bell bottom, I think. The color is disappointing, a medium-light blue that looks very casual. A more sophisticated dark wash would have been more to my liking, since I don't really like light denim. That's just a taste thing, though, and doesn't reflect on the quality of the garment. If the price on these is further reduced a bit, I might snap them up for a comfy pair of casual, medium-rise jeans. Like I said, they are flattering and soft and well-constructed, just not the very high rise I was looking for. If you have the right proportions, however, I do recommend these.

I was really bad and splurged on these (even on sale), but I'm so pleased. The fabric is soft and light and forgiving. They run large on me, but true to size with the normal Anthropologie sizing. When I wear three-inch clogs, they almost graze the floor (and look great). I'm 5'4 and 98 lbs for reference...I was so relieved to have found a pair of high-waisted flares. Very flattering!
