I'm not sure what I was expecting when I tried this on, but once I realized the buttons don't actually close (the slits are sewn shut), I started to see it in a different light. The zippered back gives it a great fit and, once you situate the fabric how you like it in front, you don't have to worry about it at all. I find the shirt to look a bit sloppy and smock-like on the model, but on it is actually very chic and classic. I've worn it to work with a lace cami underneath and black pants. The wrap portion defines my waist perfectly so I find it very flattering even though the shirttails are hanging out. I tried it on with very low rise jeans and my stomach showed, but with other pants I haven't had this problem at all. For me, this top is perfectly true to size, great quality, and an interesting design. Who couldn't use another crisp white shirt in her wardrobe?

I really loved how the shirt looked in the front, but maybe because I am petite, the shirt bunched in the back and wouldn't stay flat. I will have to return the shirt, but the quality wasn't the problem. Could work out for someone with a longer torso?

I almost always wear a size 0 or a 00 in clothes, but I ordered this blouse in the 2, hoping that it would run small. Unfortunately, it seemed to run on the somewhat large side, so it was far too large on my 5'2 100lbs. frame. Nonetheless, this was an absolutely beautiful and well constructed blouse, and although the buttoning was a little baffling, I think it would be flattering on many body types, and was definately a nice twist on a classic piece, exactly what I always look for in clothes from anthro. I am really hoping that anthro will introduce this blouse and it's sister blouses in the size 0 so we small people can take advantage of this designer.
