Rated 5 out of 5 by How Gorgeous is this garment, but why does this designer refuse to make this blouse in a size 14 or 16? Why doesn't Anthropologie offer this blouse in a 14 or 16? This blouse and the Portrait one are so beautiful and would definitely flatter a fuller figure. Is it a crime to offer your lovely clothing in sizes that actually fit women whose breast size is, say, 38 DD or whose waist is a 34 instead of a 28? We are not fat! We run 5 miles 3x a week and lift weights and are happy with our bodies. Are we really supposed to be content with your knit (read: stretchy) collections and fit and flare dresses and the occasional pencil skirt? Please offer this blouse in a 14 or 16 for us larger gals. We have curves and cash, and really love your stores. Thank you. February 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect White Blouse FYI: I am a 34D (36C), broad through the back and shoulders and have a short waist. Finding buttondown tops that work without pulling at the bust or being too oversized to accomodate can be a challenge. I typically choose a 10 in a fitted, buttondown style. However in this one, I had to size down to an 8. The waist hit at my natural high waist, so if you are longer it might be a problem. Because the designer used quality cotton and actually knows where to place the buttons, there isn't a bit of pulling or gapping. The fabric is top quality, too, and that helps the overall design. It is somewhat less than opaque, so some will want to wear cama under. Of course, a nude bra is a must. The collar is quite unique; it almost has no collar in the back, but the front is fashioned so that it looks like the collar is popped up in a chic way all of the time. It is a bit hard to explain, but the overall effect is quite good. The three-quarter sleeves do not have buttons, but you can push them up a bit. This top cannot really be tucked in, so it will have to be worn out with a pencil skirt, skinny jeans, and/or slip panas. THe waist actually almost makes a peplum when belted with the white sash that comes with the blouse. The sash is removable, so you can wear other belts with the top. Overall I find this to be the perfect white shirt that will seemlessly fit into any wardrobe. February 16, 2013
