Purchased this item as soon as it was available on the website! Loved the cute, quirky design of the carousel horses and thought it would be a very versatile piece. I normally wear petite sizes but thought I would give the xs a try. For reference, I am 5'1" and weigh 103. This shell runs excessively large. It was very large overall, especially around the armholes. It was so cute, I altered the sides and shoulders and am now very happy with my purchase. If you are petite, keep this in mind before purchasing.

I fell in love with the carousel print of this top and love pairing with teals and reds to pull out the gorgeous colors in the print. I generally wear xs or s (or 2 or 4) in Anthro tops. Based on previous reviews which said the top runs large, I ordered an xs. I am petite/5'2" and the xs fit pretty much perfectly. The armholes were not large and the length seemed perfect...so others might find it too short. I am not sure how easy it would be to tuck in a skirt and have it stay tucked throughout the day given the short length and silk material. I am not sure if it's noticeable from the photos, but the bottom is not one continuous piece of silk fabric. It has a small, approx 3", hem sewn at the bottom of the top that goes out in a very slight, fluttering a-line and is split at the sides. I am not doing a good job of describing the hem, but it's a bit more noticeable in the product shot for the 'Laced Posy Blazer' seen on this site. The result of this is that the bottom of the top doesn't fall loose at the hip, but rests at the hip and blouses out slightly with the 3" hem falling loosely below. The blouse is a thin, light piece of silk, a bit sheer, is not lined, but worked for me with the turquoise pleated collar blazer over it. Gorgeous! I love that this top is made in the USA and 100% silk.

I originally had planned on buying the small due to the previous reviews, but by the time I had committed myself to spending $98.00 on a sleeveless blouse the small was no longer available. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit on the medium and am happy that I didn't get a small. For reference, I am 5'8", 135 lbs, 34B, with broad shoulders. My anthro size varies depending on the manufacturer and the cut, but at J.Crew I wear a 4 in sleeveless silk tanks and an 8 in shirts with sleeves due to my shoulders. Beautiful top, you won't be disappointed!
