This is a super cute chemise. It is actually a nightgown and that is why I bought it. I was super excited when I bought it because I don't normally spend $40-sale price- on nightwear and felt like it was a luxury. (Originally nearly $70??? Who pays this for a nightgown?) I washed it without checking the labeling because when I purchased it, anthropologie listed it as machine washable. When it came out of the dryer (on low), it was no longer a night gown but a nightshirt. I was so disappointed because it had been so cute and because that was $40 down the drain. I then checked the label (I know, I should have to begin with but I purchased it with the expectation it was machine washable...who buys pjs that aren't?), and sure enough, it said dry clean only. Darn!

I never machine washed or tumble dried rayon garments. But for those with simple patterns and not in bright/ dark colours, I found it OK to hand wash. And then I used only the spinning function to remove the dripping water before hanging it to dry. This is a low risk try on a lounge dress. Dry clean is definitely not worth it. Even now I still find it expensive and I'm waiting for further reduction.

I washed this in my washer on the "hand wash" cycle. The Length SHRUNK about 8-10"!! and I didn't even put it in the dryer!! BEWARE! it is cute, soft comfy! however, you had better dry clean!
