Rated 4 out of 5Â by planetqueen pretty, but did not work for me
I usually wear a size S or 4 dress, but based on the reviews I tried this in S and XS. I'm petite with narrow shoulders and a 32DD bust. I did not find this to run large at all. The XS was very tight in the bust and the waist hit much too high. The S was still tight, but the neck was too low and the shoulders were too wide and kept falling off. In addition to have a larger bust, I have a wide ribcage so this dress just made me look dumpy. Too bad, because it really is pretty. It's velvet with a subtle print, but works much better as a casual dress than for dressy occasions. The navy is a nice change from black, and the fabric is stretchy and very forgiving. I'm not fond of my upper arms so I loved the sleeves. Even though I'm short, it hit right at the knee on me. I wish it had worked for me because it is a nice dress. I'd recommend getting your usual size if you have a large bust or broad shoulders. If you're slim on top, sizing down might work for you.

I recently purchased this dress as a last minute find, and it is amazing. What a find! The sweetheart neckline is so flattering. It is soft and really comfortable. It is very roomy. I am between a 6 and an 8 and I got the small. It fits perfectly, like it was made specifically for me (which I think it was). The dark navy color can easily be dressed up for an occasion but it is a style that can be paired with tights and boots as well. I honestly can't think why it took me a while to notice this lovely item. But it's mine now!

This dress is beautiful and flattering, but I would HIGHLY recommend giving it a wash before wearing it. I did not and unfortunately ruined the new leather purse I got for Christmas. I was not wet or sweaty...the dye just came right off! I'm hoping that I can get the excess dye to run off in a cold water hand wash now, but I just thought I'd try to save anyone else from a style crisis!
