Which was my main motivation for buying the pot. Beware of the '6 cups of coffee' claim. This is a stove top espresso maker and it makes 6 teeny cups of espresso'ish coffee. My espresso cups are on the larger size so I get 3 generous cups or 4 cups that are a little over half way filled. I am the only coffee drinker in my family so this pot is going to work for me ... on days where I don't 'need' a half a pot of coffee. What this pot lacks in portion/size is made up for by it's quality, construction and super cuteness ... oh, and the colors. The coffee is pretty good too, just don't expect espresso with crema on top. Pay attention to the instructions and dump at least the first pot, maybe even the second. There is a very strong 'new product' smell that imparts itself into the first few pots of coffee that you will not want to drink.

I bought the blue percolator for my mom at Christmas. I was a little worried that under the fire on her gas stove, it would become black or darken. It hasn't yet and my mom makes coffee every morning! It's so cute and retro looking. I'm getting myself one too! The coffee tastes great!

...and it looks great in my kitchen, but that is about it. I ordered this with high expectations. I have a little Empire vintage electric percolator that I love. I thought I would purchase this product to use at home and take the other to work with me. The first time I tried the color pop pot I was disappointed at how long it took the coffee to brew. When I finally poured the coffee, half of it dripped down the front of the pot and onto the counter (the spout is too small?). Also, the handle is small and is shaped in a way that makes it hard to hold especially when the pot is hot. I might use this to make a single cup of coffee now and then (not espresso) but other than that, it will just continue to look cute on my kitchen shelf.
