Boston Ivy Dress

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by beautiful and fairy-like dress I got this dress early in the year and I just saw it pop up at Anthro. I got it for my engagement photo shoot and wanted to report that it's wonderful! My sample wasn't marked with a size, but I'm a size 6/8 with a larger chest and it fit very well. The boning is great quality, so good it's a little hard to sit. :) I've attached photos of the dress in action. I'll add that I'm 5'3" and the dress is below the knee on me. November 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Dress is Amazing I highly recommend. I used this dress as an impromptu wedding dress for my elopement. It is beautifully made, extremely comfortable and very romantic. Honestly, after I took it off, I couldn't stop looking at it. I thought the top fit very well. I am nowhere near a DD - NOWHERE :-), and I purchased a size 2. It fit perfectly. December 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely During the 25% off promo, the Boston Ivy Dress immediately grabbed my attention as I was browsing online. However, I hesitated ordering this dress for a couple of reasons - 1) This was an online only item, and there were no real reviews regarding sizing, and as I'm between sizes, I was unsure which to order. 2) That color. It appears to be a lovely blush color online, which on the right skintone can be very complimentary. Or it can be a wash-out disaster. Still, I could not resist the tulle and gunmetal embroidery. I typically wear between a 4 and a 6 in dresses, but as my size 4 Gathering Breeze dress now feels like some kind of medieval torture device, I decided to order a 6. The size 6 is a great fit. I am a very full 34B, and given the choice would not have sized down. This may be a bit more challenging for a fuller bust (but what strapless dresses aren't), so I would say this runs true to size to a bit small. The cups are lined, so if you're confident - it could be worn without a bra. And this also has a heavy duty zipper at the back, which I am super appreciative of. Now for the color. This blush has the potential to wash one out, but I find the color to be quite lovely for myself - no washing out, and it tends to compliment the golden tones in my skin. The metallic embroidery is beautiful. Up close, it appears to be a mix of copper, gold, and silver threads, with an overall brassy gunmetal effect. This is a nice fancy frock, which would be great for a holiday party, or a wedding, or maybe even as a rehearsal dinner dress for an upcoming bride. Also worth mentioning that my manfriend found the dress and embroidery to be beautiful. It is a special dress indeed! My *only* complaint is that, at 5'1", I wish the petite version has been available sooner. In the regular size, it falls just below my knees. November 23, 2012

PINK Style #:26108605 As spring get-togethers abound, nothing¿s more festive than a party dress, particularly one that's covered in pretty embroidery. Here, Project Alabama's frothy frock evokes the graceful air of a ballerina. Boston Ivy Dress
