Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I wore this out for NYE and got compliments all night long. I picked up some crinoline off Etsy to fluff this dress out to the max! My measurements are 36DD, 28, 42 and I ordered my usual size 8 and this bad boy fit great! Overall this is a beautiful dress, the crinoline created a vintage silhouette for this more modern-print kind of dress. Crinoline: Navy Blue, elastic waist. 4 tiers, and 2 layers of tulle. Waist 30-36" Hips FREE Length 25" January 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Size down Love this dress! I usually wear 2 in anthro, but this one 0 fits just fine and secured. Just like the red one from last year, but much more affordable. I paired it with the whirl wind cardigan in black. January 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute dress Last year I saw this same dress in a red color, no pattern and was not quite sold on it. I loved the fit - it seemed to be flattering but the color didn't reflect well on me. When I saw this again in a store in New York I thought that I just had to try it on again and see if I still liked it. I did, even with the change in print. It's great because it is made of corduroy which gives it some weight, in my case this made it fall well from my waist. There is a nice light petticoat under it which helps give it some flare. I wear it both with and without the halter strap and it looks good both ways. With the sizing I ended up getting a 0 - I usually am a 4 - I'm 5'4'' 120lbs and a size 32D breast, I have larger hips but a small waist, so usually 0's are out of the question. I would say that it does run large - if you have small breasts, it might be hard to keep the dress up without the halter - but for someone with a small waist, this dress accentuate's it without making you look too disproportionate with the skirt's flare. For me the print really was the selling point - it add's something to the dress without being too overwhelming. I'm planning on putting this with a grey or dark blue cardigan, a pair of grey heals and wearing it to a christmas in December, but because of the pattern, it could easily transition in to spring. I do not have a specific style in my clothing, so this piece doesn't really fit in with anything else, but with all of my clothing I like to have the option to be able to dress it up or down, and this dress is perfect for that. Because I am younger, I like to think that longer isn't always better, but in this dresses case, the print brings a flirty, young side to focus while still being sophisticated and elegant. Overall a fabulous dress that I would recommend to anyone and I haven't stopped raving about it since I finally purchased it. November 21, 2012
