by JustErin Amazingly Soft Material - Not for Me
I've always been hesitant about trying the highwaisted retro bikinis - but I've been looking for more coverage for beach trips with family and in-laws than the typical bikini has to offer, & haven't had a lot of luck with one pieces. So, I decided to give this one a try.
I was super excited when this bikini arrived - the green in real life is beautiful and the material is by far the softest bathing suit I've ever felt. I couldn't wait to try it on.
Fit: I am normally a six/eight in most clothing. Based on the other reviews I ordered a size ten top and a size twelve bottoms. The cups in top ran bit large - as is often the case with Seafolly - but they are removable and not ridiculously so. I would recommend staying true to size with your top or just going one up. The size twelve bottoms fit me well and I'd recommend going up one or two sizes from your normal pant size. If you're looking for coverage - these provide lots both in front and back.
I am thickwaisted (straight figure) and the bottoms caused me a lot of trouble. I have bit of a tummy and some love handles - the rise of the bottoms cut right across at the worst place for me. They really seemed to highlight my lack of waist - honestly I wouldn't want to be on the beach in these.
I rolled them down and I think they look so much more flattering. From googling I see that Seafolly made this color with different style tops and bottoms - so I may go searching as I said I love the material and color. I think this is an awesome suit for someone who is more hourglass or pear-shaped and has a waist to show off - for me, definitely a pass.

I bought this with the bottoms (reviewed on that item's page), and am in love. Beautiful emerald green that looks richer in person, and the fabric feels really luxe for a swimsuit. The lining is just enough, and is a really natural shape that looks like the best version of my own form. I'm 34B (32" chest) and the size 4 is perfect.

Love this bathing suit, especially for the sale price. Agree with the reviewer that the top is a little awkward, but one can make it work. I am a 32DD and the size 12 fits okay . . . it's better without the pads, although I'm not sure if it will make the suit see through. The bottoms are great--I bought the size 8. I'm usually a size 6-8 in anthropolgie clothes. The vibrant green color is what has really sold me, and the style is flattering--very retro but still flirty and cute. All in all, I think this is a great buy for the summer!
