I ordered the dress and loved it! Warning: It is probably not for the petite ladies out there. I am 5'10 and tried it on with 3.5" heels and it still hit the ground (barely, but enough to worry about stepping on the dress). It had small details that I liked: the slip has a zipper (I thought that was, if anything, a positive) and the slip is removable and snaps into the straps of the shell. My problem was that both dresses I ordered arrived with pulls in the front seam. The bottom is so heavy and the material so fragile that they both had parts of the horizontal seam along the bust pull loose...luckily it is double sewn. I am not sure that it will last more than several wears, but I thought that since it had such a nice, comfortable, bohemian vibe that works for me, I would risk it. For reference, I am 160 lbs, 36DD bust, slim hips, normally a 6/8 in pants and 10/12 in tops. I ordered a 10 and a 12 and kept the 10. I usually have a tough time wiith the fit of the bust in dresses, but this dress was very accomodating to the larger bust. The outer shell on the 10 fit a bit looser than I wanted but I think the slip of the 8 would have been pretty tight. so I didn't try to size down further. I did not find it too low--the slip has adjustable straps. Overall, I think it is beautiful, but I think it would be difficult to wear and/or tailor (due to the ruffles) for the smaller people out there.

I really wanted to love this dress. Purple is my favorite color, it works for summer-fall, the cut and shape are classic, and it's made of silk rather than synthetic fibers. It would work for more casual to very formal events, it's a very low-key gown. I liked the buttons on the side, it was a nice detail.
I ordered it hoping it would work for pregnancy and beyond (I'm 3mos along). Sadly, I am 5'8" and an entire tier of the dress (in size 8) was on the ground. A good tailor (like you would go to for a wedding dress, not just a dry cleaner) would be able to alter the dress by bringing it up at the waist, so you wouldn't lose the detail at the bottom. However, at the full price there is no way I could justify another $50-80 for tailoring. I was SO sad.

In a nutshell...this dress is awful.
The good: color is beautiful
The bad: extremely long, bottom heavy, side crystal buttons are awful, neckline is very low, even the lining has a zip (making it further awkward)
The ugly: I look like I am drowning in this dress. Not flattering...and for $300...it is a great disappointment!!!
I literally felt like I was dragging along a large bag! Too bad...the design of the dress is nice...but....
