I bought it not in Anthropologie, but saw it on a book fair, couple of months before it appeared here. Of course I couldn't resist it, being in deep love with Jerusalem and everything about it. This book is amazing, just pictures themselves take you to the streets and markets of Jerusalem..I swear, you can smell it in the air, without actually leaving your sofa. The recipes are great. I was especially impressed with how authors made sure everything was correctly translated in the recipes, so every little thing would be applicable for a cook from a totally different country. The little history of every dish is also given before the recipe. An important thing I want to mention-the book is dedicated mostly to middle-eastern recipes. There are plenty of cookbooks about Eastern European Israeli food, and this is not one of them.
Great and beautiful book, either to use in your house or as a gift.

Just back from Jerusalem and wanting to still taste the delicious foods that we had there, I just had to purchase this. I already have bought this book 2 other times as gifts but not for myself. Each person stating that the recipes are great and authentic. The pictures and the stories included are as a nice inclusion. The potato pancake (latkes) are the best I've made, including a family recipe from Eastern Europe. This book is a tasty remembrance of my fabulous trip. I would highly recommend this as addition to anyone's kitchen. Great recipes and great stories.
