Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute dotted dress This is a very cute and versatile dress. I love the polka dot mesh overlay and the draping on the bodice with its slight sweetheart neckline. It fits TTS--I usually wear a 4 or 6 in anthro dresses and the small fits great. The waist and bust are slightly elasticized so the fit is a little more giving. Some things to point out: -The grossgrain ribbon on the waist and straps has intentionally frayed edges. Not sure what I think about that. They also don't wrap around to the back of the dress. Boo. -Neither the overlay or underlay on the skirt are hemmed. -The polka dot overlay is mesh, the underlay is a light stretchy knit, so I think there is potential for it to be see through (I can't really tell at the moment). Also drafty. -The underlay is a couple inches shorter than the polka dot overlay, and hit me right above the knees (I'm 5'4"). -The skirt is full/pleated but doesn't add bulk because of the thinner material. -The waist is kinda high- not quite an empire waist but about 2" above my natural waist. The model photos show this well. I don't think this is unflattering, but I probably would have preferred it to hit my natural waist. It might turn into an empire waist on super busty women. In general, I wish the quality was a bit better, but it's a cute dress nonetheless. January 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Twist on the LBD This dress is very versatile and very comfortable. I love polka dots and this caught my eye when it first hit the site. The length is good, not too short and not too long. It is pullover styling, and this also makes it extremely comfortable to wear. The front of the shoulder straps are the same material as the ribbon around the waist which I found to be a cute little detail. I also liked that although the bottom is pleated it does not flare out making my hips look bigger; it falls nicely down with just a slight fullness. I docked one star since the quality could be better for the price (though this is the case with a lot of Anthro items lately). I definitely recommend, and I know I will get a lot of use out of this piece! December 17, 2012
