by AnnVeal Cute dress, blah colors
I tried this dress on in the "red" which is really a muted coral/orange. I tried on my usual small (32D-28-38, 133lbs, 5'6", typically size 4-6), which fit well, hits just above my knee. It features Bailey 44's signature (?) raw hem. It's super comfy but it just didn't wow me; its basically a long-sleeved version of the Under and Over dress of last season. If Bailey 44 came out with other colors (maybe a deep plum or cranberry??), I would be more into it. I also think pit stains would be highly visible with these colors and fabric.

This is a really nice dress, the fall version of the Over and Under dress. I tried it on in the orange colorway (it's supposedly "red," but it's not at all - it's a burnt orange, reminiscent of the University of Texas color. I tried on a small, which fit my frame (36DD-29-39, usually a 6-8). It hit right at my knee, and I'm 5'7"
The main complaint I have about this is the unfinished hem - the calling card of Bailey 44 dresses. I also don't like that the only color options are orange or blue - if this came in green or a true red, it would be stunning. Especially in a cranberry like the previous reviewer said.
The material is flattering, and hugs curves, but this dress just didn't do it for me, especially at this price. When it goes on sale, I'll give it another glance.

The color of the dress is definitely more of a bright orange than red, which was exactly what I was looking for. I wore it during the Christmas season and got a ton of compliments on it. The jersey material is very comfortable and double-lined to prevent show-through. I'm not a huge fan of the unfinished edges but I can live with it. The ruched basketry detail is gorgeous. My one quibble is that I have a long torso, so the waist hits me about 2 inches above my natural waist, making this dress more of an empire style on me. It's also pretty low-cut, which isn't a problem for me, since I have a small bust, but might mean large amounts of cleavage/spillage for others.
