Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful, but not for me I was thrilled to see these on the sale rack today and couldn't wait to try them on; left them in the store. I have a curvy figure and they just were not very flattering. I am 5'2", 135 lbs and sized up to an 8 (usually a 6) as the legs were far too tight on the 6. The 8 then fit everywhere else except that I would need at least 1 1'2 inches taken out of the waist. I would have been perfectly willing to do except that I just did't find them flattering from the side or the front. I LOVE the fabric in the front and wish the entire pant was made from it, or at least wish the blue pattern was the entire front half because with the black having some wrap around to the front, it wasn't slimming but rather made me look wider I thought. I was really disappointed because I wanted to love these, but I think they are better suited to a less curvy lady. That being said - they are beautiful pants! December 5, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by size up These are beautiful pants, but size up! I have another pair of Cartonniers and size 4 is just right for me if not a little loose. So I got a 4 in this style. Sorry to say, but they are tight, tight, tight along the leg. They don't have any stretch in the front and only a little bit in the back. I'm going to exchange it for a 6 and pray they will fit. But... they ARE beautiful and I do want them to fit me so badly! December 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous Pants! I fell in love with these when I saw them at Anthropologie. I've always wanted a jacquard style pants but nothing over the top with glitz but still enough pop to make a statement. I love the color-blocking concept since it breaks up the pants and makes it look classy without being too over the top like most pants can be so you can wear this both day and night. It's black on the side and back with the front part being navy blue and copper/gold (simply beautiful). I can see how this would accentuate someone's body because of the color blocking and may not be so friendly to those who are curvy on the bottom since it can enlarge one's hips. It's cropped so you can make this casual by pairing it with flats during the day and heels at night. I wore this with flats, a white T-shirt tucked in and a copper/tan blazer. I'm 5'8", 138lbs with flat stomach, somewhat wide hips, athletic thighs and a curvy bottom and typically wear size 4-6 though I am usually a true 6 and this fit perfectly. It was so comfortable sitting and dancing int these pants. I may get another pair just to have one in case anything happens to the one i already own! February 9, 2013
