Marna Fairisle Cardigan

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by very cute but sleeve length is confusing Love the design and concept of this cardi but I'm a little confused by the sleeve length. It's too long to be a 3/4 sleeve but too short to be a complete long sleeve. Maybe it's meant to be worn over a buttondown like in the model photo? Other than that, it's a really cute sweater with pretty colors that will match a lot of things in your closet. Torso length is nice too - not too short or long. For reference, I'm 100lbs, 5'5", 34A, 25 in jeans and I tried on an XS. November 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love at First Sight The online pictures don't do this cardigan justice! It is amazing in person, the colors pop in a really soft feminine way. It is fairly light-weight and really comfy on. Not itchy at all. Each band of color is a different weight of stitching adding a really rich texture. The sleeves are not long, actually hit between a true 3/4 length and a full length. I am 5'5", 140 lbs, 36c and I decided on the large because it's roomy enough if I want to put another layer underneath. Although I think it looks best with a tank/cami underneath. In person, this sweater was a no-brainer! I couldn't pay for it fast enough. November 2, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beautiful, but you might need teeny arms... I absolutely LOVE this sweater. As another reviewer said it is soft, not itchy, the colors are beautiful and it is well made. I own several Sparrow sweaters for this reason and why I was dumbfounded when I tried on my usual size medium I could barely get it on over my arms. For reference I am slender; 5'10, 140 lbs, 36 A, athletic -- usually a medium or small in Anthro depending on the label. Although I'm 46, my arms are in no way out of proportion to the rest of me, nor have I had trouble fitting in size mediums -- perhaps it is the cut of the sweater? I couldn't go to the Large as then the body of the sweater was too big and boxy (as it is a boxy cut to begin with). Bummer because it was love at first sight for me. November 9, 2012

RED MOTIF Style #:25779018 A traditional form of knitting, fairisle, so named for the tiny island in Northern Scotland where the technique started, is constructed with a five-color palette with two colors per row. We'd pair this cropped creation from Sparrow with distressed denim and a wind-blocking cap. Marna Fairisle Cardigan
