I love this true-to-form, old-Anthro style combination of textures: big wooly sweater sporting a sturdy antique-lace hem. Go figure! The wool textures are delicious-- felted and soft here, nubby and articulate there, with a shine of brighter pink hidden in the weave (fibers include 49% wool, 40% acrylic, 11% nylon). The lace is large and champagne-colored, made of 100% cotton, sewn on the underside of the sweater with firm stitches. There is one outer pocket on the left side which is a nice touch.
I tried it on with a sleeveless turtleneck and found it to be warm but not itchy. One accent I like is the horizontally knit rows across the top half (front & back) while the bottom half is vertical in direction. Nice detail. The sweater is buttoned with large, wood-grain buttons, reinforced on the inside with smaller buttons. Again, great details.
The Medium looked bulky on me. If I do buy it, I'll go for the Small (for reference, I am 5'8", 140 lbs, 34-B). The only weakness for me was the challenge of finding the actual button-holes-- the weave is wide enough that any hole might do. But otherwise, this is a real work of art, created with care, claiming its own era.

I LOVE this sweater and brought it home, only to return it a few days later. On a hanger it looked wonderfully wooly, with knitted yarn-y goodness! But on me, this sweater looked like a thick puffy blanket with lace dangling from the bottom. If you look at product photo, model is hugging herself which masks the bulkiness of this otherwise lovely piece. Doesn't work for hourglass because the bulk hits right at hips and is not flattering on bosoms. I will reconsider when it goes on sale.

This sweater is stunning in person. It is well-made and quite warm.. The on-line photo does not do it justice! The colors, on my monitor, anyway, appear to be more brown, but in person it is actually more of a wine color. Quiet a unique sweater and it is one of my favorite fall purchases!.
