Rated 4 out of 5 by I was intrigued by this shirt as soon as I saw it online, but I wasn't sure if it would fit more like the product shot (streamlined) or the catalog shot (bulky). Thankfully it fits me more like the product shot. I agree with other reviews that it's very flattering. It creates an illusion of a much narrower torso, and it nips in at the waist. The plaid portion is a substantial fabric and the origami bow effect is awesome. There are subtle blue stripes in the plaid. There are raw edges but I don't mind. I don't think it looks bulky from the side, but I have a pretty straight shape (5'1, 32A, 105 lbs). The XS is a good fit. The black portion is a standard rayon/spandex material that is soft but kind of thin and flimsy (not sheer though), that is my only gripe with the shirt. I think the tee part could be better quality. Overall I'm very happy with this shirt and I think it is a classic look that will go with many things. September 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by flattering in the front, not so much in the back I noticed this shirt online and liked how thin it made the model (not that she needed it). So I tried it on in store. The tie in the front is very creative and interesting. I'm sure this top would get lots of compliments and it does nip in the waist creating the illusion of an hourglass frame. The only thing I didn't like was from the side view the ends of the ties kinda stuck out. That wasn't a major issue but something to consider. What kinda killed it was the black fabric that looks very slimming on my arms and the front but the back showed the outline of my bra. I'm not a big girl. I weigh in at around 130 at 5'7" but it made my back look lumpy. So I decided against it. Maybe with the right shapewear? Just take note. September 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really cool but not for me OK, I saw this in the store today and had to give it a try. I am 5'8, 32D, 130lbs, long torsoed, and the small fit perfectly. The shirt is flattering, even slimming. I think I was just having some kind of mental block around the design--I felt like I was wearing a decent black shirt with part of a foldy tablecloth stuck to the front. That is a horrible injustice to the designer--this is probably a supercool, cutting edge, awesome design and I just didn't buy it because there was too much goin' on for me. If it looks good to you, try it--I think lots of you will love it. September 1, 2012
