Rated 3 out of 5 by Itchy This plaid pattern takes me back to my high school grunge scene, but the ruffles and texture give an updated feel to the nostalgia. However, that all died for me when I started to itch through the lining. It probably didn't help that I had on a short sleeve shirt, but I didn't like the jacket enough to deal with layering. The fit on the size 4 was just fine. It works for having enough room to wear a sweater underneath and still close comfortably. The front has hook and eye closures and a long sash at the waist. I think this length will work just fine for petite girls, since it's a shorter length overall. I have a high itch tolerance, but this was too much for me. Pass August 24, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for a curvy girl... You would think this jacket would work well for a curvy figure because the belt defines the waist but that was not the case. I tried on the 4 and it fit like it was the correct size for me but it seemed like there was just too much "material" if you will. There are ruffles and lapels and belt ties all over the front of this jacket and it just seemed to add weight to my figure. The jacket seemed to be made of quality material though and the sleeves were lined to give extra warmth. The pattern was very nice and so were the colors. Just didn't work well with my body type. :( September 24, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by This coat is styled very cleverly for the smoothest fit possible, in spite of ruffles and tie-belt. It did take me some moments to figure out "the system," though. The fit is achieved by using 2 hooks to close the front of the coat (instead of buttons), and then slipping the tie belt-ends thru 2 slits so that the ends tie underneath the ruffles, rather than on top of them. (I notice that the model in the above photo does not seem to have the ties hidden underneath.) Very well-planned, although a bit complex. The yarn is good quality (39% wool, 61% polyester) and the colors really are rich and vibrant. The only weaknesses for me are: no pockets, and an itchy collar against my neck. (I would have to wear a turtle-neck or scarf) But I do appreciate how conscientious the designer was about keeping the "puff" of all this sweater-material at minimum. A size 6 worked well for me (for reference, I am 5'8", 135 lbs, #34-B). October 1, 2012
