I was so excited to see Anthro come out with a great red lipstick. I have fair skin and dark hair and prefer a classic look so I bought the Vermillion color. The color is vibrant and gorgeous and it looks darker than it is in the picture shown. The packaging is lovely and inspired by 1920's lipstick packaging however it's plastic and I wish the material was a little more special. The lipstick itself it long wearing but really dried out on my lips. It stays on-it doesnt crack or flake off but it just gets so dry that your lips my shrivel up and crave some moisture.

I love this lipstick. I got the Claret. I was looking for a subtle rosy shade that wore well and was moisturizing. I pretty much just wear lipgloss for spring and summer. Lipstick seems a bit heavy to me during the warmer months. I needed to find my lipstick for everyday. Many of the makeup products I use have become favorites of mine after trying many things over the years, but I've never found the right shade of lipstick for day that compliments my skin tone and hair color. I have fair skin with freckles and red hair which I dye dark red in fall and winter usually. I guess I'm so attached to seasons because I've never lived anywhere with distinct seasons. Funny that. Anyhow I hope I'm able to find this brand and shade for a long time. It feels great to have found another favorite that I can count on. The other shades were beautiful in person too.

Though I like the texture and quality of this product, however the mauve color did not look good against my olive skin tone - it's more pink than plum that I had anticipated. I'm real picky when comes to lipstick color - I need it to also go well with all my work clothes - be it suits or business casual attires. I probably should've chosen the lightest color, Bisque. But am afraid to try another one unless Anthro has samples of it. I'd also prefer the tube to be more slick looking and easier to whip out to apply rather than having to pull it out of the heavy tube, though I like it in gold.
