Rated 3 out of 5 by I Promise I Won't Tackle You What to love about Girls from Savoy (and this blouse): washable; lovely 40's aesthetic; great color/pattern; feminine; generous in bust; great for hourglass figures. What's tricky about this particular blouse: the shoulder line twists into the collar, which makes a drapey shawl effect in the back--but gives you the shoulders of a linebacker. The plunge in the neck is extremely dramatic--though could be corrected with a nice undershirt or pin. This blouse made my waist look so tiny, and was long enough to cover a bit of belly--from the back looked elegant and retro--but those shoulders. Man. August 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by strange neck line pretty blouse, nice color, good quality. i ordered it online, but when i try it on something looked wrong around the neck. then i noticed strange collar, it makes that way that it makes your shoulder line higher than it is, and your neck looks shorter. it also gives you look like you shrug your shoulders up. returned. Rated 5 out of 5 by Beauty! Fits better than in picture This beautiful silk blouse is perfect for layering, or wearing all on its own. The attention to tailoring is evident in the armholes, which are sewn separately from the softly falling sleeves. You may need to size down one, as I did, to improve the fit around the shoulders and so the bodice doesn't gape open. The colours are also far more vibrant and lovely than they appear on my screen. It's an interesting idea to pair the blouse with the grey jeans, as in the product shot, but I prefer to wear this blouse with LeifNotes's "Spun Sweater Skirt" or with J-brand skinnies. For an hourglass figure, like mine, the bust is accentuated, while the small waist is nipped in. October 18, 2012
