Rated 4 out of 5Â by mnm9 Busty girls will need to size up and tailor
I waited until this dress went on sale because I will need to have it tailored:
I love the retro style of this dress and cute fabric pattern. However, the retro cut of the dress is meant to tuck up under your bustline and lay flat against your mid-driff. My normal dress size didn't have enough fabric to comletely drape over my bust (cover the circumfrence?), so the middle princess shaped panel was pulled away from my body, making me look very wide from the side.
If you have a larger bust, you may want to size up and then have the waist tailored. See the photos

This dress was problematic for me which is a shame because I generally like Karen Walker stuff. Normally the Hi There line has a flirty and simple sort of French countryside appeal. However, this dress crosses the line into country bumpkin.
The fabric feels cheap. The pattern is a little overbearing in person. But it is definitely the sleeves that anchor this dress' race to an awful finish line. Disaster for me. I am 5'7" and 125lbs.

This is a very pretty dress. The cut and design are very flattering. It hugs your waist and gives volume in the bust, creating a very nice hourglass figure. However, I didn't end up purchasing this dress for two reasons. I found the dress to be a bit childish on me. The floral fabric coupled with the puff sleeves made me feel like I was wearing a child's dress. Secondly, I found the polyester fabric to be everything I hate about this textile. Next to the skin this dress feels rough, cheap and very synthetic.
