Rated 4 out of 5Â by gardenia So much to love about this dress! The top is gorgeous with a peter pan collar, pintucked front, and lace that not only felt sturdy (not snag-prone) but was also lined (see photo) except for the sleeves. I did not find the top to be sheer, which was nice to see. The skirt felt very similar to the Readymade Dress from last year - super soft chambray with a slight sheen. On my 5'2" frame, my usual size 0 fell perfectly to a few inches above my knee (does this mean it's a mini for taller women?). Note that there is no zipper; you just unbutton the front and throw on the dress. Buttons seemed to be stitched on well this time.
My only hesitation with the dress is that I found the top to be slightly loose for my small bust, but I'm wary of the petite version since I'm finding them to be too short-waisted and just far too short overall (ahem, Colorblocked Shirtdress, which in petite was 4-5" shorter than stated online!). I hate to complain about the petite offerings since it's nice to even have the option, but they're simply too short to wear, especially for the target demographic. This year's petite offerings seem to be far shorter than those from last year. If the regular size is now petite length, then I can only imagine the struggle for taller women!

I accidentally picked up the size 2 instead of the size 6, thinking that HD usually runs small on me. I didn't realize the mistake until I took it off. (Their size label includes Euro sizing, and when I am in a hurry, I don't always read it carefully.)
I really liked this dress. I like the versatility, including the belting options.
To make sure the buttons don't pull, I would suggest trying this in your normal size first. The entry is the button front. However, when I unbuttoned to take this dress off, two of the buttons were loosing threads, and very loose, so check yours carefully. There is a sheer lining under the lace top portion, which if worn with nude undergarments works fine in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by JustErin Great Concept, Not for Long Torso, Thick-Waists
I wanted to love this dress. The faux jean skirt - the adorable lace top - the moment I saw it on the website - I was certain I would purchase. When I saw it on the hanger my heart skipped a beat - quality seemed great for this price point - but the moment I slipped it on in the dressing room - I knew it wouldn't work for me.
I think the problems with this dress might be exasperated by my long thick torso - but the fit was totally off on me. The cut between the two material, sat too high and totally at the wrong place on me - and although the pleats on the faux jean material are reminiscent of the Readymade Dress - I found them to be unflattering. Everything about this dress seemed to accentuate my thick waist, instead of hiding it (as most ensemble dresses do). I also had concerns that the buttons on the top are spaced too far out - so that there was a lot of gaping - even when the dress wasn't tight at all.
Fit: I am six/eight. This was the six - it was comfortable - but just didn't work for me. On a girl with a shorter torsos, more defined waist or just more petite frame this might be a great dress - as I said - I loved all the details - but on me - it was the perfect combination to create an unflattering silhouette.
