I'm a huge fan of the Frye Carson ballet flats and I've been looking at their new colors, so far resisting temptation. When these pretty Taika flats hit the sale I decided to go for them instead, sight unseen since I'm primarily an online shopper. All week while I've waited for them I've expected them to not work out, the other reviews mention pain and small sizing after all. I'm SUPER pleased to report that the 39 seems to fit my typically size 8 feet nicely, and granted I've only tried them around the house so far but they don't seem like they'll be difficult to break in. The wine color is just so pretty, and the silver toes are mirror-shiny. They are really eye catching and I fully expect friends and strangers to compliment them! I can't wait to wear them with some dark wash blue denim, I think that combo will really pop. I'm happy!

I have these shoes in dark grey. They're really comfortable. The other reviewers' tips on sizing up were spot on. I usually where 8.5 or 9 - I purchased the size 40 and they are a perfect fit. I really wanted to get the Red and Yellow too but unfortunately they no longer have them in 40 :( Soooo bummed. I wear these with my skinny jeans and they look great :)
Hope this review helps - happy shopping!

I love these flats. They are so cute and soo comfortable. I also have them in another color that was sold in the spring of 2012. I am usually a 7 1/2 but these don't come in half sizes so I got a 39 (equivalent to 8) and they are perfect! Honestly the most comfortable flats that I own!

Takes 2 days to break them in, had experienced a little chafing on the back of my ankle. But after wearing them for 2 days, they fit great. And everyone has something nice to say about them.

i'm a shoe girl and, having made my share of mistakes, i can happily say this was not one of them, especially at the sale price. In case this flat or a similar style becomes available again: my experience, unlike most of the other reviewers, is that it runs TTS. I'm a 7. These are a 37 (which is my European size# and they fit like a glove. Unlike alot of flats that feel like they are barely on my feet, they hug me, without being too snug. They are comfortable right away and I suspect will become more comfy with wear. If I had sized up, I think they'd be falling off. I like the fact that they come up a little higher in the back and that they have a hidden wedge built in. Ideally, I'd love a little more arch support but they are better than most flats, in this respect. The quality is also better than expected. The photo, which normally makes things look better than they are, makes them #in my opinion) look a little cheaper in quality. They are a beautiful deep wine suede, soft leather lined, rubber soled, and adorably adorned as if the toes were dipped in silver. It looks tasteful and artsy - not cheesy at all. I was looking for something a little different than your typical ballet flat that I could use to dress up jeans or dress down a simple dress. I took a chance on these and I'm glad that I did.
