by asta17 I was so excited about this dress, but so sad once I put it on. The dress itself looks just like the photo, though the green is a little brighter and less olivey in person. The lace seems sturdy and has a cute pattern. It's also extremely comfortable. But the fit… this runs huge. I tried the XS (5'1, 105 lbs, 32A) and I was more than swimming in this (and usually Weston Wear fits me pretty well). It's supposed to be loose-fitting given the silhouette, but it was utterly shapeless. I felt it made me look way wider than I am (especially in the hips and butt), even belted. Perhaps it would fare better on a taller, curvier girl. If this came in petite sizes I'd try again because I think this dress could be really versatile all year round.

by GeoInCalifornia Small and XS Sized Out. Size Down 1 or 2 Sizes.
I agonized over this dress for weeks. I finally ordered it a day before free ship promo. The fit was a huge disappointment.
SIZE: I'm normally a Small in non-Anthro brand Weston Wear and most Anthro Brands. I ordered a Small, but feared it would be too tight after seeing how big the XS fit tiny Asta17 (top reviewer I had the pleasure to meet in NYC). I'm 5'5" tall, 135 lbs, a busty 34D, 35-29-37 with long torso.
FIT: I was swimming in green lace. I'm wearing a black Tulle slip in the photos. I didn't notice that the lining wasn't pulled down while taking photos until after I put the dress in the mail. Regardless, this dress is too big everywhere, too short in the waist, and too short in length. The upper portion was flattering even for busty me. No bra show under the arms.
FABRIC: The Anthro photog did a smashing job highlighting the paisley pattern in the lace. It looks nothing like this IRL. Considering how huge the dress was on me, I didn't notice if the lace had stretch. The upper body photo of the model makes the dress appear longer and fitted through the torso. Pinned perhaps?
Considering the very short length and high drop waist, I don't plan to reorder this dress is XS.
Most will be sized out of this Dress. If you normally wear at least a medium, I suggest sizing down at least 1 or even 2 sizes from your normal Anthro and Weston Wear size.
No more agonizing in this No Anthro Zone!

I knew this dress looked great on the model in the picture but I had my reservations because I have a bit of a tummy. However, I tried on both the medium and small and the small fit perfectly! It doesn't cling to your body but has enough structure and it looks amazing with a belt to add the shape if you need it! It's romantic but everyday and can be dressed up. The possibilities are endless with this one. To reference I'm 32b 29 39 and usually wear a 4 for tops and a 6/8 for the bottoms.
So glad I splurged!
