Gallop Mid-Boots

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing!! Just bought these boots in store yesterday and LOVE them. I normally wear a size 9 in tennis shoes/Tory Burch flats, etc. but I bought these in a size 8.5. They are very comfortable and slimming! For those who have wide calves, these shouldn't be a problem because there are no zippers. The sides open up and are held closed by the wrap around buckle. They do take some time to take on and off so I would never wear them shopping but they are great boots for the fall. I would definitely recommend these! They were flying out of the store yesterday so get yours soon!!! October 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Different I was drawn to this boot as soon as I saw it in the catalog. Ordered a pair in a size 9, my usual size. At the time there was only 1 review and the reviewer did say they run large. They do, especially in the toe box (long), but fit snugger though the rest of my foot with a light sock on (I do have a narrow foot as well). I did not, however, experience the problems other reviewers had in getting them on. Perhaps if they were smaller I would. I did insert a sheep skin foot liner that I will wear during colder weather and that shortened the gap in the toe box. The boot is made of beautiful leather, but it is on the stiff side. They are also made with a leather insole and sole. Lastly, they are very comfortable as others have noted as well. Nice and different, but on the pricier side. October 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love/Hate Relationship I absolutely LOVE the style of these boots. They are unique, yet versatile. Nice rich brown color, quality materials. I have very thin legs, and I like that these are adjustable and don't gape like most boots do. The design of the boot is such that it would probably also work for larger calves, again being that they are adjustable. I found that these are pretty true to size. Maybe a tad bit on the larger side, but not enough that I would drastically size down as some reviewers did. I'm a 7.5-8 and I went with the 7.5. I did try on a 7 and they were a bit snug across the top as others had noted. Now for the "hate" part of this review - I had to try on 3 pairs before I found one that looked like they belonged together. The leather was cut unevenly on some of the boots, one seemed worn or broken in where the other was not, etc. It could be that I'm just picky that way, but when I buy new boots I want them to be perfect! So to sum it up - these boots are awesome, if you get the right pair. November 14, 2012
