Rated 4 out of 5 by Right down my alley... This didn't catch my eyes online as it did in the store. I think the way the dress is shown on the model with the tie right down the front center wasn't as flattering as the bow being tied a little off to the side as it was shown on the mannequin at my local store. So I decided to try it, since I love this classic style with the white and navy. My regular size 2 fit like a glove, but if you're in-between sizes, I would size up. I am not very well-endowed, and the bust fit perfectly. I could see the wrap portion opening a bit which may be an issue for bustier gals - an extra snap may be needed to avoid the much dreaded wardrobe malfunctions. As I mentioned earlier, I do like the bow tied more to the side, but in the end, I liked it even more tied to the back. I don't think it was intended this way, but on me, I think it's much more figure flattering to not have so much material and bulkiness in the front, so I wanted to inform others that it's an option. It takes a couple of tries to get the bow to lay right since the stiff material doesn't sit as well as if the bow was made of a silk, or chiffon (I would have preferred this regardless of where the bow is tied). The friendly SA at the Anthro store was really helpful with this. Thirdly, the skirt is a very heavy material. It was a little shocking at first on the hanger, so much so I was wondering whether it would bother me when it was on. In the end it didn't, but I still don't think it was necessary for the skirt material to be as thick as it is, since the dress is sleeveless. A less heavy material would have worked just as well, if not better since I felt like it sat a little bulky towards the bottom of the skirt. There were several dresses where it stuck out a little where the lining attached to the skirt. You may have to have them take off the sensor to give you an idea of whether it sits right. I tried 2 of them before I found the one that I ended up purchasing. Lastly, Anthro... I am sometimes perplexed at your decisions on when and when not to offer petite sizing. I am 5'4'' and the regular sized dress, in the size 2 is 34 - 34.5 inches long. Not a single inch longer. If you are in a conservative workplace, this dress will probably be too short for the taller ladies to wear to work. There are many times when petite sizing is needed (hello, the akebono halter?) ...and in my opinion, this is not one of the times when it is necessary. Just a heads up on the length of the dress. Attached are two pictures on how I plan on wearing the dress. If you're on the fence...I definitely recommend giving it a try and work with the bow to see what works best for you. August 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! I must admit, I saw this dress online and didn't give it much of a second look. In the store, the texture caught my eye, and I immediately wanted to try it on. Once I had it on, I had to show somebody (I was there alone), so I asked my SA what she thought. Part of me was afraid it was just me, but we agreed it is a fantastic dress! This is a slip over style with a side vent zip, and the sash is adjustable. I had on a nude bra, and didn't find the white top to be a problem. I will either pin or add a tiny snap to the cross front top to make sure it stays closed well. I think my favorite feature is the bell skirt, which is polyester, and which I love- along with the acetate lining in a contrasting maroon color. This feels very high end to me, and I was surprised at the start price. I made an exchange and brought this home with me immediately. I plan to wear it with my flats for now and with tights, boots and a cardi in the winter. August 24, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beware of red liner! I'm an avid Anthro buyer... And I fell in love with this dress.. Until... I did my at-home cleaning. I always do this with all my Anthro purchases, but the lower half has a RED liner under the blue portion of the dress (why in the world anyone would do that, I have no clue!). Do not use any at-home product on this dress P.E.R.I.O.D. Very disappointed in quality of product... May not return to Anthro with this type of design/quality..... October 13, 2012

NAVY What's better than a blouse and shirt ensemble? One that only has one zip. LeifNotes' tied twofer is soft, yet structured and easily accessorized. Style #:25237454 Daytripper Dress
