These pants are a PERFECT fit for my shape, not a gap or a pinch or a pooch anywhere. I tried on the 4 and the 6 and didn't see much of a difference in the but or length, the 6 had more room in the waist leaving space for a finger so I went with the 4. I LOVE the fabric, yes they are basic grey pants but the faint pattern makes them unique. The stretch is what makes them fit so well and they passed the 'bag test' with flying colors ... literally. I wore them the last day of a business trip (with the slanted layers tee in cream) and had to fly home. After working, airport security, flight delay and a 3 1/2 hour flight these pants walked off the plane as fresh and fitted as they were when I left for work in the morning AND they were very comfortable. For reference I am 5'5, 125 and am usually a 4, sometimes a 6 in Anthro bottoms. Did not see the red version in the store so I can't comment on them but will certainly try them on whe I see them.

These pants are killer. I have purchased them in every color and even bought two of the dark grey just in case something happened to one of them. Fit like a glove and I always get compliments whenever I wear them. After washing and drying my first pair, they seemed to lose their shape a little in the waist so now I don't dry them, I just lay them flat. These will translate well into fall when worn with tall boots. Overall I am really in love with these pants and while I do not review clothing too much, I felt compelled to review these - they are that great!

Channel Audrey Hepburn. Cigarette pants in a fabric I bet she never had. 3% spandex, 21% nylon and 76% viscose. They have the sort of lift and smooth effect of a pair of Lululemon yoga pants but such a smart sophisticated fabric.
The patterning is so subtle and the vertical seaming down the front back of the leg has a slimming visual effect.
At 5'6" and 130lbs, I tried a 6 and an 8. I usually start with a 6 in pants and wear a 28 in jeans (Pilcro, AG for example). I have a 29" waist and fairly straight hips and the 6 fit ok but I couldn't wear them if I put on 5lbs, so I got the 8 which is more forgiving and instead of being very body con tight, was more skimming the body.
The rise is just over 9" and the inseam was 25" so I think tucking in a shirt could be very 50s looking.
There is a hook and eye at the top of the back zipper.
The label says no dry clean. I can cold hand or machine wash. That's good news as far as I'm concerned.
I ended up with the grey as a classic which will be wearable for years. The red was lovely too though, more of a lighter red - think unripened tomato.
I think they would flatter many kinds of figures and heights.
