Sukiya Silk Culottes

Rated 4 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty.... I bought my normal size 4 in these and they are bit snug in the waist. That said while slender, I don't have a very defined waist which could be the issue since these are a high-waisted pant. I LOVE the print and cut and can't wait to see how I can dress these up. The material is gorgeous and with the new sale price, you really shouldn't pass on these. Our winters are pretty mild and our fall weather still has us in the low 90s so I plan on getting a few wears now maybe even pairing these with light fall sweaters in a brighter color palette. Highly recommend. October 23, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Inverted pleat is odd Maybe it's my curvy shape but these culottes don't quite work for me. My main issue is with the middle inverted pleat. It cuts in so high! I almost feel like I'm exposing something I shouldn't be. It's too bad because these shorts are well-made and beautiful. The pockets sit nice and flat when not in use and the lining doesn't show through too much. I love the silk material and the beautiful teahouse pattern, plus the colors chosen are sophisticated. Fitwise I am normally a 10 for bottoms and that is what I took here. The waist was loose in the 10 but it fit nicely across the hips. Although the website says these are 3.5" long they hit me about where 5" shorts normally do. I am not a fan of the exposed zipper on the side; my work has a pretty lenient office dress code but probably could not get away with these. June 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Chic and comforatable! I love these shorts. I got them pre-sale, but they were so cute and different that I splurged. As the other reviewer stated, the pockets sit nice and flat (plus...pockets!!), the fabric is great quality and the pattern is beautiful (although because of the silk, I usually have to steam them before wearing, which was expected). They hit about mid thigh for me, pretty decent short/skort length, and I don't feel uncomfortable at all while wearing them. I have a small waist (I got the 0) so they could fit tighter there, but they fit almost perfectly everywhere else. They're so cute that I really don't care about a little give around the waist. All in all, super cute, get tons of compliments on them, and they're different. Not your average wardrobe piece. August 6, 2012

BLUE MOTIF Impeccably cut and printed with a smattering of Japanese teahouses, these flowy shorts are most entertaining. An Anthropologie exclusive from Charlotte by Charlotte Taylor, the British design darling whose latest collection was inspired by the somewhat disparate realms of fishing, bee keeping and Japanese art.
