Rated 5 out of 5Â by love4dogs It's difficult to tell from the pictures online, but these shoes sparkle elegantly like a perfect summer night. Beautiful, simply beautiful, and I don't know how Chie makes such comfortable heels--but she does it, time and again. I know that sizing in Chie shoes can be a bit tricky--I usually go up half a size (from a 36.5 to a 37), but this particular shoe does seem to run tts. I ordered the 37 b/c the 36.5 was sold out, and there's just a little bit of wiggle room, but the shoe still fits comfortably without sliding off. The moral of my long-winded story is that if your regular size is sold out, you may be able to go up half a size. The price is painful, but I had a feeling these would sell out long before they made it to a sale.

Since Anthropologie rarely carries Chie Mihara in Euro 41 I had to go to another retailer to get these shoes. I wear a US 10 and always need a Euro 41. These shoes are a bit long but narrow, but I find most Euro sized shoes to be on the narrow side.
That said they are well made and fairly comfortable. The heel is a regular wrapped lather, not a stacked wood. They feel sturdy. The shoes come with extra rhinestones and some really cute directions (with pictures) on how to replace a rhinestone should one fall off.
Overall though they are pricey one has to keep in mind that Chie Mihara shoes are hand made. The design is impeccable and the quality is high.
Now if Anthro could just consistently carry Chie Mihara in size 41, I would be a happy gal.

Chie Mihara does it again with another knockout pair of shoe art. This is my 13th pair of Chie's creations. Since I am somewhat superstitious, I will have to add another pair to get up to 14 because I don't want to be stuck at an unlucky # (just saying) and jinx my Chie collection and future Chie acquisitions.
Anthro says pair them with cocktail dresses, but I intend to downplay their formality and wear with jeans and funky daytime dresses and skirts. Really, this shoe is very versatile as testified by their almost sold out status. Hopefully, Anthro will get more in stock. I had to visit another web site to get my size (sorry Anthro!--I love you, but a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do in the name of style).
To others out there seriously coveting these beauties--act fast--they are on a disappearing act everywhere.
