by jgray522 Stunning bag!
This is Claire Desjardin's Watercolor Weekender Bag. There are so many things they got right in this bag.
-leather looks and feels amazing
-the 'watercolor' design is so stunning in person, it's delicate but graphic at the same time, perfect hues, true to the stock photos....I am a sucker for green and blue together
-consistent design: so far I have seen 2 bags in person to compare to the stock photo here online and they look exactly the same, no coloring issues or different placement of the watercolor design. If you don't live near a store you can probably feel confident ordering this online.
-functional: interior pockets and the one big exterior pocket which I can see using for phone/keys. I think they could have added even more pockets all the way around the interior (kind of like the Vera Bradley Miller Bag) for maximum functionality but it's definitely workable as is.
-19"Lx13"Wx10"D (stock info says 5.5" D but it could go much fuller) so it is actually big enough for a true weekend away
-could also be a book bag or a diaper bag for that matter because it's so roomy
-purse straps/over the shoulder strap look and feel comfy but are sturdy, wouldn't have to worry about 'overloading' the bag and breaking the hardware/straps.
-black bag/brown straps make it feasible to wear either black or brown. I love when bags have both shades so you don't feel awkward or tied to one family of colors when dressing for it!
There really are no issues to speak of, only the incredibly steep price tag. It's an amazing, gorgeous bag though, truly, if you've got the money to spend, you won't be sorry. As for me, I think I'll have to hold off and if it goes on sale, I'll be the first to snatch it up.

Just got this in mail--colors true to photo, just right size--big enough for weekend, small enough to use as regular handbag without looking overburdened. Pebbled leather soft but strong, sturdy. Not too heavy, not too much hardware. I chopped off the brown "belt" around the central opening (hate schizo bags that can't decide what they are), kept over-the-shoulder strap, perfect length. Good for summer, winter. I am an expressionist painter, so the black, cobalt blue, mint abstractions were just my cup of tea.
In sum, expensive but totally worth it if you like modern clean design and a good leather multi-purpose bag.

by macaroni I wanted to love this...
This bag looks amazing in pictures and also very cool from far away. It's meant to look like a Claire Desjardins painting (see attachment). My issue came from how it looked up close: I was hoping the leather would actually look like it had paint on it, or as if the colors were dyed deep into the grain of the leather. Instead, the colors appear to be a digital screenprint. You can see the fuzzy dots making the pattern when you examine it up close. This makes the bag look cheap, like it's made of fake leather. For $450 I expected more.
I also didn't like how the outer pocket flaps around-- I was expecting it to be fully attached to the bag, but it's only attached along the top edge.
