I have been on the hunt for some flat Mary janes ballet shoes for years and really hoped these would fit the bill. I ordered a half size up per the product description and found them to be a tad big, but my normal size would have been too tight across the top by my toes. Thus, the fit was off. Regarding the straps, they are like the ones on the Bowed Lacertas, so not much adjustment is possible. The reason I am returning, though, is the toe shape. I liked the look in the product shot but once on, I wish it were more rounded and less pointy or almond shaped. When I tried them on for my husband he commented that they look like witch shoes. I will say that there is a fair amount of padding in these shoes, especially for flats. I didn't feel as though my feet were right on the ground, there was cushioning.

I absolutely fell in love with the pictures of these shoes. And they do indeed look just like the pictures (a light red color). I ordered them half a size up as the listing said to do, and they were too large. However, I can't keep them anyway because the straps are too large and can't be tightened enough to make the shoes fit. (The straps have a very limited range of adjustment.) If you're considering getting them, I'd say they're worth a try because they're so beautiful, though.

I so wanted to love these shoes...I loved the color and straps! Unfortunately, they made my feet look huge. (A salesgal walking by mentioned that she'd noticed that earier when somebody else tried them on.) I have size 8 feet that are totally proportional to my body, and don't have this problem often, so think that the multiple straps much contribute to the bad bigfoot effect.
