Rated 3 out of 5 by Looks too much like a beach cover up Although I think this dress is unique and different, I can't think of a single place where I would be able to wear it--except maybe on the beach in the Caribbean. The macrame of the top layer is a very heavy weight and good quality, so I wouldn't worry about it snagging too much. It's not as delicate as the pictures make it look. However, the whole design was too reminiscent of a beach cover up--something I'd throw on over a swimsuit--and wasn't practical in my opinion. As far as fit goes, I think it was TTS. My usual size XS was a bit large, but that is normal for me. June 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous evening dress! I would have to disagree with some of the other reviewers. This is one of the most stunning dresses I have tried on in a long time, and I didn't bat an eye at paying the sale price of $120. The underlayer is slinky and form-fitting. The "lace" overlay is actually more of a macrame material. Some people complained it was stiff, but I thought it was perfect for the style of the dress. The heavier weight of the overlay makes it lay perfectly, showcasing the pretty coral design. I didn't worry about it snagging or falling apart, and everything seems very well-made. It also works well for petites. I am 5'2", 96 lbs, and purchased the 0 - fits perfectly and hangs several inches above the knees. LOVE this dress! September 28, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Good concept, poor execution. I found myself out of town and in need of a dress for an event that I had not packed for. A black lace dress would have been a little much for the event but this really is a more casual dress. The charcoal knit under layer would never make me feel over dressed ... in fact, I thought it was a neat concept. The lace part of the dress is a huge FAIL. It is stiff, sticky and heavy. Think grandma's plastic doilies. This dress would have worked if the lace was made out of any other substance, the polyester was a BAD idea. Fit wise (if you can get past the poyester lace) I tried the dress on in a small. The charcoal layer is a stretchy knit, the lace has no give at all. The small gave me enough room to sit down but while standing it just kind of hung there. For reference, 5'5, 125, 34B. August 2, 2012
