I am not one to be able to afford the $300+ jewellery at Anthro, and sometimes I find the $50 and below to be a little cheap for my taste. So this was a good price point for me.
The necklace, as the previous reviewer stated, is very delicate. More so than the picture suggests, particularly the chain. It is very thin, and I am hoping that given the price, it can withstand a few accidental tugs as necklaces should.
This being said, it is pretty. I am not convinced yet it is worth what the dollar value is. Most of this hesitation lies in just how delicate the chain is.
It is a nice length, unique and reminds me of Anthro past. My only design criticism, is that where the body of a butterfly usually is, on the pendant is blank. So, it looks a little strange to have these realistic insect wings, and just a blank spot where the body is supposed to be.

I fell in love with this necklace the moment I saw it in the catalogue. Was not too thrilled with the price but decided to go for it anyways.
Was surprised at the quality of the material. It's a really shiny gold and it clangs a lot when you are wearing it. It has a cheapness to it that i didnt expect. I feel that the quality of the piece does not match the price. It does have exquisite detail on the wings and I appreciate the delicate chain. However . . .
I am returning it.

I first hesitated (because of the price) but finally purchased this butterfly necklace for my birthday; and I'm so glad I did! It may be expensive, but at the moment I opened the box when I received it this morning, I wasn't disappointed at all. It's absolutely gorgeous! It really seems like they have captured the beauty of a real butterfly (and dipped in in gold!) and you can wear it long or short. Truly beautiful!
