I am in my mid-forties, and these are my first pair of what I'd call Platforms! I don't understand why these sandals haven't gotten better reviews. These DO run true to size, even though I am in the third/last holed-notch of the ankle strap. I am a pretty straight size 8 1/2 shoe size, and the 8 1/2s fit perfectly. The ankle strap is not binding and did not cause any ankle swelling after 8+ hours of wear. The notch closure is a bit difficult until one uses it several times. I, though, would rather be confident that the straps stay secure, and they do!
I have become more of a slave to comfort in shoe buying while retaining my theory that being well-heeled is a must! However, I shy away from heels now, especially those in which I feel too tall and might fall if I take a misstep. However, I have several pair of Palazzo pants which are too long for a lower heel and which I wouldn't have hemmed as this would ruin their long leg lines anyway. These sandals give me the overall height without the feeling of heels as the heel height to platform height angle is low, and they retain comfort while walking.
This is my third pair of Schuler & Sons sandals from Anthropologie this summer, and I love their looks, comfort, and expensive-looking quality leather craftsmanship and quality detailing. They also come with their own dust cover!

This shoe is cute in person. It is not a "WOW" or "amazing" shoe, but looks just like the picture...simple and would go with everything from shorts, to jeans to skirts, etc....
I found this shoe ran VERY large. It might be due to the fact that I have a narrow foot, so maybe I was not taking up enough volume in the shoe - but if I pushed my heel into the back of the sandal, I had at least an inch of space at the front of the shoe.
I also found the buckle/closure to be too fussy and hard to use - I don't think those closures are particularly practical....
Lastly, the tough leather and shiny bottom ('glossed') looked a little cheap, but probably in line with a shoe under $200.

Seems true to size, Good style and height but no arch support and the leather straps are a little stiff
