Rated 3 out of 5 by Very "trippy" Because it is based on an "etching," the mural is way more abstract than we anticipated. If you are standing less than a few feet away, it's difficult to discern what it is an image of. I've even read a review somewhere indicating it gave the reviewer "motion sickness." I believe it. Unfortunately, even though I had two, patient friends (one of which s a professional artist) apply it, the print has an obvious flaw running up the center. Parts of the two panels match, but the middle section of the same two panels is just slightly "off." It appears there was a mistake in printing - which I don't think is acceptable for the price of the item. It's such a pain to apply, we didn't contact Anthropologie to complain because we aren't interested in starting over. Overall, it's okay, but not great. January 17, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice but not quite there I had this mural installed in the guest bedroom at the same time I had the Nuvole mural from Cole & Son installed in the master bedroom. I had originally wanted Etched Arcadia in the master, but the mural is too short. The Nuvole is clearly much higher quality, although I still like Etched Arcadia. The Nuvole mural has a warm white background; Etched Arcadia is a yellowy ivory. The Nuvole has a finer style of "engraving" that allows you to stand very near the mural and still enjoy it; Etched Arcadia has a blockier and slightly pixelated print. I would not recommend Etched Arcadia for small rooms. An obvious advantage is the Nuvole costs nearly three times the price of Etched Arcadia. Still, I was hoping for a higher quality (less pixelated) print for the price. Note that the mural is toroidal, as it should be, which means you could conceivably buy several and hang them end to end. April 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny! I am in the process of a room redo for my 13 year old daughter. I had wanted this mural for a very long time and decided to buy it for her room as a starting point. I chose to hire someone to install, it is too pricey for me to take the risk of messing up! Paid $250 for install. We love it! Not too busy in my opinion, very artsy and makes for a great focal point to build from. August 13, 2012
