I've wanted a nice set of Laguiole steak knives for a while now. There are a variety of materials that are used to make the handles and they range in price in this classic pocket knife design. This set has fun colors, and most importantly they are functional. At closer examination, you can appreciate the details that go into this set of steak knives, from the etchings on the blade and the bee emblem at the handle-blade junction to the pocket knife inspired look it gives off. I would recommend this set to those who like the colors they see. The knives are great quality and will last for a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Jamafa Great knives, no wooden box
I absolutely love Laguiole products, and these knives are no exception. The colors are just amazing! I never thought knives would make me happy, but they do as weird as that sounds. One word of caution, though...they do NOT come with the standard wooden Laguiole box. They come in a rather cheap, regular paper box. I was pretty upset about that as I thought the wooden box would come standard with any Laguiole purchase. I was hoping to store these forever in their original container, but the one it comes with is so cheap I doubt it will truly last me years even if I take good care of it.

When I first received the box and opened it, I was taken aback because the knife looked like a toy and the handle felt light in my hands, compared to my other steak knives (Henckels). But the blade is sharp and it does its job very well. It cuts a pork cutlet and lamb chops like butter. The candy-color plastic handles are charming. The silver " bee " crest is perched on the top near the blade, the perfect spot for putting your finger when slicing. The bee trademark looks more like a goofy cicada--which I find cute, but may not be for everyone.
