by GeoInCalifornia A few issues stood between this dress and the door
I opted for the green print version which didn't pop for me when I looked it over online. The minute I saw the dress in-store, it was a different story. But, as much as I loved the dress, it didn't make it out the door with me. The hefty price tag didn't justify an unfinished hemline, and nylon mesh fabric. The winner was the $88 cotton Coral Garden Dress by Lilka with a finished hem.
SIZE: I tried on my normal size Medium for Weston Wear. I usually wear a size Small or 6 in most Anthro dresses. Non Anthro I wear a Medium or 8. I'm 5'5" tall, 34DD, 36-30-37, approx 135 lbs, short arms, long torso, narrow across the shoulders.
FIT: TTS for non-Anthro brand Weston Wear. This is a rare dress that hit me at my waist. 4 out of 5 regular sized dresses (including this brand) hit high for me even at 5'5". The arm holes weren't too low. The neckline was perfect. This is my favorite knee covering length. The dress is very stretchy, but has enough structure to hold in small bumps. The pleating looks like easy upkeep and thankfully doesn't poof. The flattering bodice is pieced, and has gathers that are difficult to see in photos.
FABRIC: The blues range in color, with pops of orange in the print. The downside is the nylon mesh. It's comfortable and provides the perfect amount of stretch, but on a hot day, could be an issue. It does feel nice and very light weight. It's also hand washable. I'm not a fan of the unfinished hem. It gives off a cheap vibe. But there is also a nice light ivory lining with a fun, lady like petticoat trim. A girl could enjoy the simple pleasure created by swishing it around.
This is a truly great dress. I feel it's overpriced for nylon mesh that is unfinished. I might have sprung for it if I hadn't honed in on a freakish orange blob up against the seam nearly dead center of the bodice.
I will likely order this on sale and hope for better print placement minus the freakish orange blob.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Zinnias I bought this dress in the store - and later saw it online. The online pic doesn't do it justice. The blue/green version is very pretty and not too bright, but definitely has some great color.
As a mom of 2 girls, this is the perfect dress that doesn't show handprints or residue from messy kisses. It's easy to dress up or down, with different accessories/shoes/coat. I wish it had pockets, but I wish that about every dress. I HIGHLY recommend this one!

I purchased this dress in the green motif color. It fits like a dream and the colors are beautiful. I am 5'2", 115lbs and I ordered the Petite XS because I was worried about the length. It comes right to the top of my knees. My only complaint is that the tulle in the skirt is a little itchy. It is covered by fabric on both sides, but the edges still rub against your legs. The tulle can be removed easily. The material is very light and is perfect for a hot summer soiree.
