My closet boasts plenty of skinny and high rise jeans but these take the cake. I personally don't think the pictures do the jeans justice.
What makes these jeans great:
- I've worn them a few times now and they haven't stretched out. I am not very well endowed in the "baby got back" area and often times jeans stretch out and sag in the rear (ew). I've worn these a few times and they still fit snug.
- These are a true and amazing high rise. I can bend over and touch my toes without anything to be ashamed of (the dreaded underwear showing/plumbers butt) - and I don't feel like I have to "hike" them back up afterwards.
Anthro has been my go-to shop for years, but this is my first review - these jeans are just too good not to share.

This is my fourth pair of AG Farrahs. I'm 5'11" with a long torso and waist and Farrahs are my go to jeans. On me, they are not an exaggeratedly high rise but I imagine they would be on more petite frames.
I'm usually a 30 in AG (I also have Stevie cords and Piper Crops) and these fit true to size, though holding them up to other 30 Farrahs they are cut considerably smaller, which can I guess be attributed to the extreme stretch in the fabric.
These are approaching jeggings territory. I think you can kind of tell from the model shots, if you look at the knees. You may be disappointed if you're looking for a more rigid jean. However, these are extremely comfortable... almost like wearing yoga pants.

The SA at my local store made me try these on. She raved about a high waisted pair of black pants she loved. The words "high waisted" and "black" both turned me off. I pictured 80s mom jeans, and I have never really worn black pants, preferring softer colors.
But I really liked the fit of these! I tried a 28, a size higher than my usual AG. They felt good, but i would probably go down to my regular 27 if purchasing, due to the stretch...
The higher waist was still comfortable, and covers any junk in the waist area. The legs are very fitted, as someone else mentioned. I would wear these with a longer top or tunic, probably not tucked in. IF I decide to wear black pants, that is. And black pants that cost almost 200 dollars...
