Rated 2 out of 5 by Beautiful...while they last I purchased a set of six of these beautiful glasses, and they did make wine-drinking feel more special. A couple of the glasses broke during washing, just from being put into the dish drain. I liked them so much that I bought more to replace the broken ones. In a very short period of time, all but two were broken, usually after one use. OK, I know, glasses are made of glass and they're breakable. But these glasses break the same way every single time. The top part is poorly attached to the stem?it's not continuous from top to bottom?and so the top breaks off in the same place. I now have just one left, after purchasing a total of 10 in one year. Bummer. March 13, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by eh While I love love love the design of these glasses, they break too easily. I ordered several for my friends for Christmas, and when I opened the package, it was broken at the stem. I went to the store to exchange for another, but when my friend opened the package, the new one too was broken in the exact same place. Both glasses were heavily wrapped in bubble wrap and I made sure the new one was handled with care. Just make sure that you're really careful with these :) December 22, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stand Out Design so...of course almost every month my girlfriend drags me to this store. I have lots of time to look at the home stuff as I really have no interest in the clothing. Anywho, I spotted these glasses like a lion spots a gazelle. I approached with caution and after a few minutes of examining them I attacked and purchased six. These remind me of the sexiness that my girl exudes when she wears clothes from here. The design is a nice, soft contrast to the other masculine glasses I have and they are a conversation starter. They are feminine looking but not girly. They also stand above any other glasses that I have in my bar and already comments, especially from women, have been positive. The etching is subtle and has an almost victorian feel. The etching also provides a grip when washing them. I can see how these can break in transit while being shipped, as others have mentioned, but while washing? nah. I am gentle and they are fine. I always wash by hand. Quality is OK. There are two rings, I guess you can call them, on the stem and I did exchange some of the glasses because these rings were sometimes lopsided. Moreover, the glasses are somewhat big, definitely tall, and the opening fits my nose, which is a good thing in my opinion, especially when a guy is drinking from them. I hate those wine glasses where your nose and mouth hardly fit in the opening at the same time. Overall, these glasses are cool. They garner attention and gets people talking and when they just sit there on the counter, the bar, wherever, the look nice and pretty. Like my girl. March 4, 2010
