    LOVE this top!
I tried this on in a regular size 2 and a regular size 4. For reference, I am 5'1'' and 118 lbs and usually a size 2 in tops. I ended up sizing up to a size 4, so I'd say it runs small. The size 2 was pulling at the chest, which was surprising to me, since I am not large-busted. It was also very tight in the arms. So, girls with larger arms or busts will definitely want to size up. The top is very feminine. Despite it having a loose shape, it is very flattering. I love all the ruffles and the mix of lace and floral. The top is slightly longer in the back than in the front and has some added ruffle-like detailing in the back, which I found flattering. The top hit me at the top of my thighs in the front, which was fine. Overall, the top does not seem as boxy as pictured. The fabric is soft- and the top is machine-washable! The shirt has sheer lace panels, so for work I will definitely be wearing a cami. However, the panels are subtle, and, for a night out or dinner with friends, you can get away with not wearing a cami underneath. Overall, this was an immediate purchase for me.

    very flattering, runs small
I'm petite, 32DD, usually size 4, but based on the reviews I ordered this in 6P. I'm glad I did, because even the 6P has a close fit in the bust and arms. The neck is quite a bit lower than shown on the model, but not so low that it shows cleavage or your bra. I did find that it gapped a bit between the first two buttons, but I can either pin it or wear the first button unbuttoned. Sometimes looser tops like this can made me look pregnant, but this one is very flattering. The length is perfect in the front, and the back is a bit longer, but not an extreme hi-low hem. It's really quite versatile - it can be worn on its own in warm weather, under a cardi or jacket, or even tucked into a skirt or high-waisted pants. The lace trim is a nice touch also. If you have a larger bust, shoulders or arms, or just want a more relaxed fit, I'd recommend going up a size.

    Pictures don't do it justice...
This top is perfection! The details, the quality and the fit are all excellent! For reference I'm 5'3, 113 lbs and took my usual size 0. Like other reviews mention, the colors are more vivid in person, the neckline is a tad lower, but flattering, on me than the model, the cuffs have buttons, there are also buttons down the middle covered by a placket, crochet, not lace, details on the front and bottom of the top and the back hangs lower than the front. This is the type of quality and uniqueness I miss from Anthropologie! I'm very happy with my purchase.

Really love this investment piece!!! Glad I read the other reviews first, as this top certainly has a pale peach lining and neckline (that really does enhance the lacework). One thing to note is that this top is definitely "layered" as the description says. Look closely at the picture and you will see that the lace layers fall in 2 tiers, with the lining also having an elasticized front gathering under the bust-line unseen, and then falling straight, so it is not free flowing beneath the lace top. Being that this is a top for spring and summer, and that I have a larger ribcage (not busty or heavy, just a God given bony circumference), ordering a medium instead of my normal small was a good hunch, as a small lining would have been too snug and uncomfy on a hot day. The lace also would have not laid flat and slightly flowy at the hips like you will want this to look as well. Invest in a t-back bra as well to hide your straps… you wouldn't want to distract from the beautiful lace details. A must have ;)

    Beautiful Top
I have been interested in this top since I first saw it online. However, I was convinced that it would not fit well because many Anthro tops are too loose/too flowy/no structure. Also, for the price point, I thought it would not be worth it. When it finally came to my local Anthro store this week, I tried it on, though thinking that it was never going to look good on. I was pleasantly mistaken. It is a absolutely beautiful top--well made, lovely color, and substantial material. I am 5'8" tall, 140 lbs, and 34A. Other reviewers have said it runs small, but my usual XS fit me well. This top is not fitted, but not too loose either. I love the layered lace and peachy/nude lining. I have to bring it home and see what it looks good with, but I would love to pair it with faded boyfriend jeans for the day and dark boot cut jeans at night with metallic wedge sandals. I think this top has many possibilities!!

    Well made beauty
I love this top. When first seeing it on the hanger I was worried it was going to be boxy and not flattering, but on me it is very flattering. The lace and flowers do jut out, but it is over and just below the bust, not the stomach area (at least on my torso) so it does not give the dreaded "maternity" look. I actually SIZED DOWN. To a small. For me it was more flattering and fit perfectly this way, was not too tight, The quality is beautiful. The only thing I wish it had was a zipper to make getting in and out of it easier. As it is, the back button needs undone to get it off the hanger and make putting it on easier. But this is a minor flaw and it is still lovely and well made.

    Gorgeous Silk Top!
This is much more gorgeous in person. The aqua is really stunning and the print is amazing. Goes great with khaki's, olive green, grey pants or denim. I'm usually a S and 40% of the time an XS. Tried this on in both sizes. The bands around the forearm are a little tight on me, so when I tried on the XS, the sleeves pulled across the back with any movement (making it difficult to do so), and I felt like I could rip this delicate top. Because of this it was a bit tricky to get off. The S is still tight in the forearm but not uncomfortably so. Un-doing the button at the forearm just looked a little sloppy to me. The S is a little boxy too, but since it's so flowy and has a great fit, it didn't really bother me and still looks great. Being 5'9 I thought the length was good - could have had it longer of course, but it truly is the perfect length and hits where it does on the model. For reference my measurements are 35"bust, 27" waist and 5'9, 140lbs, and in the end I chose the Small.

One of my faves in my closet
This has become one of my favorite shirts ever. The picture doesn't do it justice; the colors are really pretty jewel tones, and the fabric is soft and sheer. I wear it with a black tank underneath, but for summer, it will probably be fine even without it. Comfortable and pretty.

    absolutely gorgeous
I wasn't all that impressed with this blouse on the website, but saw it in the store and fell in love with it. In person, it's truly stunning. I'm petite, 32DD, usually size 4, but got the XS in this and it fits perfectly. I have narrow shoulders so the fit in the shoulders is perfect, and there's plenty of room in the bust and sleeves. The fit is relaxed but not oversized. Had I gotten my usual size S, it would have been pretty loose. I think it looks best with the first two buttons at the neck unbuttoned. Although it is sheer, because of the print you could probably get away with just wearing a nude bra under it. If you're not comfortable with that, it also looks fine over a cami, but I think it looks better over a nude cami, not white as shown in the photo. I had to return the first one I ordered because the bottom design did not meet at the seam on one side. In a blouse this expensive, even at the sale price, that's not acceptable. The replacement I ordered was perfect. And this blouse is real silk, not poly, which is great. Overall an excellent purchase, especially at the sale price. If you want a slightly closer fit, size down.

These are a few of my favorite things...
I certainly don't need another denim top, or something more with lace or zippers. But when you combine them all in one top, I had to try it on. Pefection!!! Soft denim (& I still love the ombré look), and just the right amount of feminine lace, set off with a little edginess from the zipper. It's an overused phrase, but this IS a go to top. Got multiple compliments just in the fitting room, while wearing it with my skinny jeans, booties & a long necklace. Absolutely multi seasonal, and worth every single penny. Haven't washed yet, so don't know how that will go but I do have 2 other Holding Horses blouses that wash nicely & have held up well. This runs a bit big, and of course is meant to be a little flowy, but I did size down from my normal size 6 in tops (34D, 127lbs, 5'5") to a 4. Still plenty of room in chest & shoulders. I like flowy, by not baggy or overwhelming, and you can kind of control that by how much of the lace on the sides you reveal/unzip

Bought this shirt today and have been getting so many compliments! If I want a simpler look I pull the zipper down, and when I want a more feminine look I pull the zippers up :) An amazing shirt and so worth the money!

LOVE this top! It's very flattering, the fabric is so soft, the quality of the cut and sticking is top notch AND you're kinda getting two tops in one because of the zippers (to open or close, that is the question!)

Out of a dozen things I tried on, this was, hands down, my favorite item. It is boxy and it does run large, but that doesn't bother me. Not everything needs to be tight or fitted. I'm 5'8", 140 lbs, and a size 8. I almost never wear a S in anything, but this looked large on the hanger, so I grabbed a S. It fit with room to spare. The details are gorgeous: brass buttons, pleats down the front, knit at the shoulders and all around the neckline. It is sheer, so normal people will need to wear a camisole. I wore it to work yesterday with a camisole and a pair of black slacks and flats and felt not only beautiful but professional. The details of this blouse make it unusual. It does have a vintage vibe. I am a pale blonde and the colors on this were very flattering.

Unique Blouse with a Comfy Fit
The shirt is the definition of effortless style. Wore it with a skirt to a wedding but it would look great with jeans, too. The knit shoulders are nice and thick and should hold their shape with hand washing. It runs large but I wouldn't size down or you risk the buttons pulling across the bust. Its a delicate fabric and looks best relaxed.

Unusual combination of crochet and fabric. Its a bit boxy but very comfortable and actually expensive looking. Its also versatile. Its great for work or with jeans or with mini skirt. I love this blouse!

    Beautiful unique top!
I read the reviews here and was hesitant about ordering in my normal size. Some people commented that this was snug on the arms or ran small....I found this to be far from the truth for me personally. I am 5'2 approx 127 and I ordered a size 4P and it fit perfectly with PLENTY of room to spare all over.

    Sort of innocent.
When this tunic came I was nearly in shock. When ordering. I thought well looks sort of nice. But it was absolutely outstanding, gorgeous and out of this world!! Fit was great, it's now one of my favorite pieces.,

    Very Pretty Embroidery
I ordered this item on sale, it will make a great blouse for Christmas or New Year's Eve. The embroidery is so pretty and cheerful. Sizing is good, perhaps slightly large. I don't find the sleeves too tight, and if anything, I would have preferred them tighter, but I have small arms. What I don't like is the extra long "tail" of the back and I am in the process of shortening it. Otherwise, I hope I receive lots of compliments at Christmas.

    Beautiful Colors
I fell in love with the coloring in this blouse and couldn't wait to get it home. The colors are as vivid in person as they are in the photos. The front and sleeves are a blouse material and the back is more like nice t-shirt material, making it even more unique. No quality issues with this at all though. I would typically take a medium petite in this, which is what I ordered, but the petite size emphasized my stomach in the wrong way, so I exchanged it for a regular medium, which I kept. For reference, I am 5'3", 36C, and curvy. I have worn this with the sleeves up and down and it works well either way. Very pleased with this purchase even though I wish it was lined rather than needing a camisole..

    So pretty
Bright colors are fun to wear in the winter and this is so fun. I bought an XL in the store since it was the only one available. I usually wear an L but since the design was flow-y it was fine. Wore it to my kids school with black skinnies. Very cute!

The back is knit fabric and falls nicely, Rest of the shirt is woven crepe poly fabric. I have worn it underneath a black moto jacket and on its own and it looked great both ways. I also wore it with the sleeves rolled down and they looked good. This brand runs very small but the cut/shape is nice so I don't mind going up a size.
