I usually wear an XS with an occasional S with Anthro. I bought this sweater in a Small based on the fit of the sleeves. I did notice that the sleeve fit was not consistent within the size range, so if you have an opportunity to try several in your size you may find that some are a better fit than others. The Plum color is great with many pieces in my wardrobe and layers well with lightweight or short/sleeveless tops. You will not have much luck layering this with thicker than T-shirt weight tops, so even though it has a winter look, this cardigan is not going to provide substantial warmth. The yarn is lightweight and very delicate but is fragile and will tear easily if you are not careful pulling it on over clothing or jewelry. The multi-colored bottom is beautiful, but warning - if you do not like volume around your hips, you may not love the way it flares at the bottom. The elegant but close fit of the top makes the bottom flare more pronounced as well. In spite of its shortcomings I love this top and wear it often.

I got the orange version of this on sale and it's gorgeous. Definitely a worthy purchase!

A bit tight in the arms and.....
MAYBE a bit too flared at the bottom if not sized correctly. I normally wear an xs in most Anthro sweaters, but I took a xsp in this one to reduce the bulk at the bottom. Are the arms a bit tight? Yes, they are, but they do seem to loosen with wearing. I love the plum color and paired it with the fall colors at the bottom of the sweater. It looks great, and I highly recommend this sweater.
I loved this sweater since I first saw it in the store and finally broke down and bought it. It is a beautiful color and the fabric is soft and kind of spongey, like boucle. My only complaints with this sweater is that due to the pointelle type of detail on the front, it looks best with a dark colored cami underneath- otherwise the contrast of light skin or a light colored cami shows up through the holes in the sweater and it looks bizarre, like it's linty or something. If you have darker skin or wear a dark colored bra you may be able to get away with nothing underneath, but it didn't work for me. I also needed to size up to a M from my usual XS in order to get the flare at the bottom to hit in the right spot (not too high) so that it was flattering and enabled me to wear it with leggings. The shoulders a re a little loose now, but its not noticeable and the length is much better this way.

This sweater is a gorgeous teal color with a soft mesh overlay that swims behind you like a mermaid tail. I'm petite (5' 1"), but tried the regular size on in-store and bought it. The regular size makes for a great tunic length sweater. I already received several compliments on the sweater!

This sweater is just gorgeous, I'm head over heels in love with it. It's so soft and fluffy. The cutout in the back is so pretty and even kind of subtly sexy for a sweater, lol. If you're not one for the exposed back look, this would also be gorgeous layered over a top or dress. The colors are so pretty and true to how they look in the pictures. I actually bought both colors and I love both of them. If there are any negatives I would say that it is somewhat delicate and the material is a little thin but not cheap looking. Personally, I don't tend to wear bulky sweaters well, so this is a good fabric thickness for me. I would say sizing is for the most part true to size; however, you need to choose the size according to your upper body. I'm generally an xsp but relative to my size, I'm bigger up top: shoulders are broader, arms are muscular and I'm a 32c so a small petite was definitely the best size. I would say buy your true size if you are narrow-average in the shoulders, have thin arms and your chest measurement is small-average relative to your clothing size. If you're not all 3 of those things I just listed, or you plan to layer, go with your larger top size. I think with layering it will only work with smoother type tops and dresses because to much detail or bunchiness of any kind will show through the sweater. Overall I say this sweater is beautiful and recommended.
I absolutely love this top!! It is super soft, and the length is just long enough so I can lift my arms without showing skin at the waist while not looking too boxy on me. I am 5'4, 105lbs, 34D and I have had difficulty with tops that fit my bust and still look flattering at the waistline. I got the Black/White size small and it is flattering for a larger bust size without looking like a tent at the waist. I tried on a small and a medium at the Grove store in LA... the length was about the same for both sizes, but the medium's neckline seemed much more open than the size small. The small's neckline just wide enough to show off a necklace but not a bra strap. The feel of the top on the inside is like soft flannel pajamas which is great for someone like me with sensitive skin. It looks great with skinny jeans or black leggings.

Great sweater. Thick (for warmth) Design is sweet. I sized up to have more length (as I am tall)

I originally tried this on because of the design, but the sweater material is so unique! I love the fact it's thick but not stiff, it's very soft. It's stretchy and comfortable, and very well made.
I tried this on in-store and on the hanger absolutely loved it. I tried on the black which is not a "jet black" - more like a very very dark charcoal gray (almost black). The stitch detailing is gorgeous and the neckline is very flattering, and it feels really nice (lightweight) on. However - this whole "short hem in front/long hem in back" trend is just not something I am a fan of. It is too long in the back when compared with the front length. And the front is just way too short. I tried on a Medium initially and it fit beautifully everywhere (except for being too short) and then sized up to a Large hoping that it would help with the length issue; it looked a little better but was a little too big everywhere else.
I have an hourglass figure and only 5'2" - I am guessing that this would look better on someone with narrower hips, and taller.
Very disappointed as this sweater is like 95% perfect, but that remaining 5% falls way too short (no pun intended ;)

This sweater is so soft! Beautiful autumnal orange color and love the textural elements. The short-long hem gives it an edginess. It is just barely long enough in front to avoid being over-cropped in my opinion.

Versatile in black
I bought this before it went on sale because I loved the hi-lo hem of this quality sweater. And I bought it in black and it was great for the winter here in Arizona. I've (hand) washed it a few times and it seems to have held up perfectly. I love throwing it on with my jeans because it makes me feel a bit dressier. Now that it's on sale, I am thinking about buying a different color.
Doesn't seem like it will pill and yarn is super soft. I have been looking for a sweater in this color all season and was glad to find one that fit nicely and without wool (sensitive skin). I wear either M or L in most Anthro sweaters and bought the large so that I can layer if desired. It is definitely not over or under sized. I like the rows of fringe. The black and white weave at the top (not really a knit stitch, more like it is woven through the knit) might snag/pull if not careful but I don't anticipate wearing any jewelry with it and as with most Anthro products will hand wash so should not be a problem as it does not seem overly delicate, just the long stitches might make it prone to catching on things though probably not often since it is only at the top of the sweater. I just received it today so have not washed or worn it yet. I could have gone with a M for a more fitted look but am going to keep the L as I like the slightly looser fit especially with the short slits on each side at the bottom. My husband even loved it and he usually just rolls his eyes when I get a package from Anthro. For ref. I am 38 B and 139 lb with average torso length (height 5'8"). The sweater fits me similar to how it looks on the model in the photo. Recommend...great value at sale and extra discount.

I am wearing this sweater at work today. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the material, it is super soft and seems durable. It is also TTS - I am 5ft and the XS is roomy but not too big. Definitely recommend this sweater, unique and also comfy cozy!!!

Unique and beautiful sweater
This sweater is even more beautiful in person. Super soft and kind of funky. I bought a medium for a slightly looser fit. I'm 5'6 and 140 for reference. I love that it looks like something no one else would have. Highly recommend!
I absolutely ADORE this sweater. It's one of the most expensive things I have ever bought myself... but so worth it. Everything by Angel Of The North is supersoft, wonderfully constructed, and high quality, and this is no exception. I have this in "grey" and it is my new favorite sweater. The color is more of a greige or very light taupe, hard to explain but not a true grey. I might buy the sapphire as well, I didn't see it in the store when I bought the grey one but I can imagine that a nice shade of blue would be lovely in this sweater.
The pictures really do not do this justice. It flows nicely on the body and is very feminine and flattering. I pair it with layered tanks, jeans, and cowboy boots for a cute boho look. I imagine it would also be pretty over the right dress (as in not the red one in the pic.)
My only complaint is this does pill up kind of easily due to the delicate nature of the yarn. Keep an eye on it and it won't be an issue. Otherwise it is absolutely excellent and I am very, very happy with my purchase overall!

I love this sweater. The quality is great, the style is pretty and the fit is perfect. One of my favorite sweaters
How can I love something so much in theory but not know how I feel about it ON me? The picture is REALLY HARD to determine how it fits - in my head, this was going to have a similar fit as the La Fee Verte confetti sweater or the eyelash sweater - either purposely oversized or comfortably big. It's not. The front hem is slightly shorter than the back hem (you can definitely make out the split in the hem length from the first photo). As a result, both of the previous reviewers are right. it hits at low belly/high hip length in the front. If you are heavier chested, it will definitely bring the hem to a higher rise. And if you raise your arms, you'll definitely show belly button/skin if you don't have something on underneath.
I ordered the Small and wish this had been available in stores so I could have tried a Medium - I am 34C, 28/29, 38, 5'7", typically a 4 or 6 in dresses. I can't tell if a Medium would have given me that looser fit I was looking for, or if it would just look ill-fitting and overly boxy...? If you're willing to take a gamble or you KNOW what size you want - get it. The colors are gorgeous and its not something you will find everyday.

Lush and beautiful!
I love this sweater: thick, soft, quirky, warm, with lovely colors. Contrary to the other reviewer I don't find it short; it hits at high hip on me, and I'm 5'8".
