I am in love with this skirt. It is so light, which makes it incredibly comfortable, and it is not itchy at all which I was concerned about. While it was a little difficult to fit the correct size for my waist over my hips (definitely curvier on the bottom) due to the lack of stretch in the waistband, this didn't make the skirt unwearable. Can't wait to wear it as often as possible.

Sooooo wanted this skirt BUT:
I should have read the reviews before I ordered. It runs big- too big for me to even try different tops to wear and possibly make it work.
The skirt is just gorgeous, made very well and has just the right amount of "fullness" that I wanted, just too big in the waist area. I would have gladly ordered the medium, but, alas, it's sold out!!!

This skirt just arrived yesterday and I love it. It's fuller than I expected but I don't mind. I bought it in the lilac and the color is as pictured, a soft pastel. The tulle fabric ups the girly factor, but I that's what I really like about it. It's really like no other skirt that I've owned. I feel like Carrie Bradshaw in this. I know aging myself. I'm going to pair with a fitted white v-neck tee to wear to a nice brunch. It has a liner so that might make it a little heavy to wear on the warmest days. It fits TTS, but the elastic waist makes fit more forgiving.
This skirt is super comfortable and travels well. Can also be dressed up or down. I read the review that suggested it runs large. I think that is probably accurate but it's hard to tell when things are SM, M and L. Wish they had some other prints in this skirt available!

Lovely and soft
This skirt is beautiful! It very soft and fits nicely on the hips....I have received many compliments when wearing it. The material is lightweight, but it has a short lining which seems to keep it from clinging to any problem areas. Highly recommend!

My husband usually doesn't like the long skirts or maxis but LOVED this skirt when I showed it to him. Looks great. I usually wear a M but ordered the S in this and it fits great. So pretty and comfortable. I wish they had it in more patterns!
If you have an hourglass shape or smaller waist, then this would run true t size. For me, I am a 28 inch waist - I would say this runs small on the waist as I am usually a size 2-4 in bottoms and got the 8 in this skirt. The hips are full which I find flattering since I am sort of board-shaped. Material is nice and soft, does not wrinkle as much as I thought it would. It is lined. No pockets. I can see this paired with anything and everything- solid or print tops. Striped tops work too (I got it along with the "sleeveless structured halter top" by Deletta, in yellow stripes) But I am tempted to get this mesh embellished top the model is wearing it with as well... I am 5'6" and find the lenght appropriate but still fun- exactly like shown on the model- front falls a little below knee and sides about 2-3 inches above knee.

Saw this skirt online and later in store and had to try it on. There's something intriguing and different about this piece, and in person it did not fail to disappoint! I went with my normal size 4, though tried the 6 as well based on the previous reviews. It depends on the fit you want and the way you want to wear it. I would say it maybe runs a tad small, but i liked mine to fit more at the waist so I can either tuck something in and maintain that feminine silhouette or do a looser top as well. The 6 would have worked too, it just sat a bit lower on my hips. I tried it with the orange knit top and didn't love the way it looked on me, but plan to wear mine with a gauzy white T or a chambray shirt tied in front. Highly recommend! Fun flirty, and versatile!

This skirt is gorgeous! I ordered it online and so I ordered my regular size, ignoring the reviews that said it was too small. I should have listened, I put it up on my waist as high as it would go and I still have an inch or two to go before I can fully zip it up. Luckily I'm in the process of losing weight so I know it will fit me soon. Order a size larger. It's too beautiful to have to wait for a new size!!
I am usually somewhere between an 8 and a 10 in Anthro sizes. Based on the earlier reviews I was glad I ordered this skirt in a 10, however, when it arrived it was a good inch to two inches too big at the waist. As previous reviewers have mentioned, this skirt is supposed to fit snuggly (it is a pencil skirt after all), therefore, it looks ill fitting if you don't get the right size and (due to the side panelling) also makes you looks bigger than you are. As a result, I have sent my 10 back for a size 8 and hope that the smaller size will not be too tight! Sizing aside, this is a beautiful skirt! As mentioned by another reviewer, it is heavy so you are unlikely to wear it in the summer months, but the weight is symptomatic of the quality of the skirt. The material is great quality, thick but with a bit of stretch. The detailed 3-D petals at the front of the dress are more beautiful in person as you cannot truly appreciate the work involved in them by looking at a photo. This is a statement skirt that is likely to garner comments whenever you wear it - my only hope is that the 8 is a good fit for me!

best skirt i own
i've had this skirt for a few months now and every single time i wear it, i get ENDLESS compliments. it is so unique and beautiful. i'm still as in love with it as i was the day i bought it. as other reviewers mentioned, it hugs the body, so i bought a bigger size and still looks great. totally recommend this. it was worth every penny.

great detail and quality
I love all of Byron Lars items; this is no exception. The skirt has incredible quality and detail. There is a bit of elastic (in a classy way) in the waist. I wish that I had known that in advance and would have ordered a smaller size. The 10 was too large for me, so I returned to wait for an 8. my shape is large in the waist with very slim hips and thighs. I think it basically runs true to size.
I love this skirt. It is so vibrant, a welcome pop of color at the start of an Australian winter. I found the colors true to my screen and not garish as another reviewer found. I am 142 pounds, normally an 8, but I have a thicker waist so ordered a 10. It is a little loose in the waist but not an issue. I think an 8 would have been fine too. It was just so billowiy on me though that I had some material removed fromthe side by a dressmaker. It hangs beautifully now. I actually quite like the rougher texture of the material, for me, this makes the dress so much more versatile. I can wear to lunch or dinner but I would also be ok to wear it to help out at kindergarten or sit on the lawn, run about wtht the kids, wear to a picnic. If this were in silk it would be so beautiful but relegated to "best"!

This skirt is even more beautiful in person. The material reminds me of stretchy denim, which makes it a perfect day/casual skirt. I read a review that it ran a bit small and ordered up a size (an 8 instead of my usual 6). I probably could have gotten the 6, but the 8 fits perfectly. Anther was out of my size when I ordered and I bought it from Lord and Taylor, and on sale!

This skirt is such a conversation piece
I love how technicolored this fabric is! Every event I wear it to, people comment about how they love my skirt. It's so vibrant and funky. Not for those that do t want to get noticed! The material is quite thick and heavy. Nobody is going to be seeing through this skirt, I can promise you that!
I totally love this skirt... but I must say that unless the model is 6'tall, it will be longer on you. I ended up with a petite... although I prefer petites typically, often I can get away without one. but this one really required the shorter length. it is super soft and stretchy.... I know it will be a summer staple for me. I wear it with one of the chambray tank tops- so cute.

I love this skirt. It's super soft and fits quite nicely. I like that it's a bit higher on the sides...a nice shape that will compliment any body type. I'm a size 14 typically and the large fits me well. It is also slightly stretchy so if a food baby comes your way there is room to grow ;)

beautiful casual spring skirt
This is a go-to spring skirt for me this season. It is a casual material but I'm wearing it to work today with heels, a plain navy knit shirt and statement necklace, and it's perfect. It's fully lined and hangs very nicely. I agree it's a little big - I am normally a 4P but ordered the XSP in this skirt and it's not tight in the waist at all. The material is stretchy and forgiving. At 5'2" I love the length in the petite - great for work or a casual dinner date!
I love this skirt; substantial enough for fall and a mild winter with boots but light enough for a spring/early summer outing. The sizing on this skirt seems interesting given the reviews. I am 142 pounds with a 28 inch waist and usually take an 8 in most skirts or dresses unless they run small. I have a mix of 8s and 10s in my closet. Based on the reviews I was worried the 8 I ordered would be too tight. It is near perfect. If I wanted the skirt to sit high at my natural waist I would have to go to a 6. It probably sits just below where my mid rise jeans sit. I know some people ave sized up but for me, my regular size was fine. It is a little long for my 5'6 frame but nothing a quick hemming won't fit. The material is a lovely high finish cotton and machine washable. It is lined and overall the quality is excellent. I was worried the pleats would add bulk but I didn't find that to be the case. This will be my absolute go to maxi skirt. The pattern is vibrant and fun but not over the top. I would highly recommend this skirt.

Just bought this on vacation and wow is it stunning. It feels so good and works perfect for cool mornings with a jacket with a white tank under for when it warms up later in the day. Feel magical and special wearing this. It's colors are subdued which I adore. Yes, totally agree pockets would be the only addition to this otherwise perfect item. Able to go casual or dressy in a single bound, I wore it yesterday from breakfast to dinner. Looks great with white top and straw hat. My normal size 6 fit great.

I saw this and didn't try it on at first just because pleated skirts can tend to make me look bulky but the pattern was just to amazing not to try and I'm glad I did! The pleats are flattering and don't stick out weird like some skirts with the same design. It's very well made my only complaint is that it does run a tad small. I think it's supposed to sit higher on the waist, when I wore it like this my regular size was perfect but I like my skirts to site lower so I sized up. It's also a great length.
