I love these OTK boots! I have been looking for a pair for a while but I have very skinny calves and most boots are too wide for my chicken legs anyway. OTK boots will sag terribly if you have thin legs. THESE however are great. They curve in on the ankles and give a really nice silhouette rather than slouch or bag out. The black ones have a sueded look to them but they are not true suede. The leather is nice and soft but they are not the best leather I've had...but they are also not that expensive to begin with so it is to be expected. They are very comfortable for wearing all day long which is nice because they do have some heel to them. I bought my regular size 8 and am very happy with them. I would not be able to wear a really thick sock so if you want to do that...size ½ up. I am able to wear a thinner sock ... (it does not have to be tights thin but just not thick) with them and tuck my skinnies with no problem. I would actually like to be the grey or taupe color but those are sold out now. I am surprised I have not gotten really any complements on them but I think it is because I have only worn them with black leggings and skinnies making them not stand out much. But with that said, I love them. I am 5'6" and weigh 117 size 0-2 and wear a size 8 in shoes/boots 99% of the time for reference.

Beautiful boots, wonderful leather, a steal!
I have been looking for a pair of over the knee boots and come across these boots (on clearance, at that!) and decided to spring for them in the gray, size 7.5 (which is my usual size). I had read the other reviews on here which said to go up a size but decided to go with my usual size. I would say to definitely go UP a size. When I got them in the mail, I figured, for the sake of style and the beauty of the pair, I could suffer a bit. However, I ultimately decided to return them for the next size up. The associate was extra wonderful and found them in size 8 for me and they should ship out in the next day or two.
Highly recommended boot but, as the other reviewers have noted, go up a 1/2 size from your usual size

Order a half size up
I believe the reviewer before me should have ordered a half size up. I have a high arch and lean towards a slightly wider foot, and these fit like a charm. Then again, I did order a half size up so that I could wear thick socks with these boots in the winter. I am normally a size 7 but ordered a 7.5. My calves are fairly small and I had some room in the shaft to wear thick socks and jeans tucked into it.
With that being said, I would order a half size up.
The leather is beautiful, very soft and a curious mix of suede and full grain leather. The boot itself is comfortable to wear and goes with any look. The pictures show you exactly what you are buying. This is well worth the purchase.
There are few shoes now made where the inside is also leather. They have leather! The plaid is wonderful! I am really thrilled about them. The heel is a perfect height. They are a modest almond toe, almost going to pointy. I do have to say I feel they run a LITTLE small. I got a 7 instead of a 6.5. They are a tiny big in length in 7 but I do not think they would fit width wise in a 6.5 well. Therefore, I would size up half a size. I plan on also sticking anti-slip patch on them. I suggest spraying them with a silicone spray to keep them from getting dirty.

The shoe is stunning in person. Not quite as bright as the picture. Colors are slighted muted. Unfortunately I ordered the 8 based on the previous reviewer and they were too big. I am a true 7 1/2 B/medium so waiting for those to come in and hoping they fit perfect!

great shoe! I love this shoe. I order my usual 7 1/2 but could barely fit my foot. I have already ordered the 8. I hope it fits. The shoe feels a bit narrow. The shoe is so classic and pretty. Size up!
I saw these boots online and knew I had to order them and see if they were as stylish in person as they appeared online. They are gorgeous! The suede is soo soft and the sole of the boot is very well made with excellent padding for extra comfort. I typically avoid heeled boots or shoes for work, but these boots are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them to work quite often! I will be purchasing the boot in cognac as well. These boots are a must have.

How have I already missed out??
Anthro, these are the perfect boots! I looked for them all through last fall and winter and couldn't find them and then here they were on my favourite website. But I want the cognac and they don't even appear anymore! Are they all gone? Will there be more? I am devastated! How have I missed out already and it's not even fall yet??

I second the note above! I had the same reaction to the cognac no longer being on the site.
But now I see the gray is back up again so I hope the cognac will be added as well!
After reading the reviews, I purchased the 8.5 and am glad that I did. I vary in shoe sizes 8 or 8.5 (more typically purchasing 8.5) and always wear a European size 39. The 8.5 in this shoe fit absolutely perfect. The first time i wore them, they were on my feet all day and they were very comfortable throughout the day. I find that higher heeled shoes with any sort of tapered toe often squish me across my toes but these fit my foot without any tightness. The ankle strap never pulled when I walked. I found that the strap just needed a loose tie and was not a big necessity to keep the shoe in place. It also stayed tied all day. The design of the shoe is a very high quality.

I ordered the 6 1/2 and just had to send off for the 7. Lovely design. but order a half size up - even if you are wearing them with thin tights.

I ordered a 7.5 & an 8, I never know which will fit. I am a true 8 in most shoes, and that is the case with this pair, too. I like that the laces are adjustable for width's sake. I have a wider foot, and the smaller size was unbearable. The heel height makes these very wearable and versatile. These are pretty comfortable, I think they will become more flexible with wear, but they are not super-cushioned. Attractive leather, kind of rugged looking, but not at all bulky. Will look cute with ankle-bearing crops. I also want to try them with tights!
Let me first say that the 'black' color is a deep rich brown leather and the pattern colors are light tan, a peek of darker tan(almost golden), burnt red/orange, and the darker color looks to go black/navy. Beautiful! I was drawn to these although they really aren't my aesthetic (at all) but I took a chance and I am glad I did! The quality and craftsmanship is there and the patterns are handmade from vintage fabric with the entire manufacturing process is Made in Spain (on card in shoebox) these are truly one of a kind! I didn't feel as though at regular price they were overpriced for this particular boot, but that being said I did get them on sale which was a plus! I usually wear a 6.5 and purchased the 37 -- they fit perfect! My only, only con is that the boot shaft is quite big for a shorter boot but I also do have slim legs/ankles and have always had trouble with boots fitting slim to the leg.

Pricey But Worth Every Penny
These boots are a bit pricey but I've never worn a pair of boots that I've gotten more compliments on! The ONLY complaint is that they are not available in half sizes. I wear an 8.5 and ordered them in a 9 (39) and rightly, they fit like a nine, thus I wear them with a thick pair of socks. Still they are terribly comfortable and I wear them all the time.

Authentic and Gorgeous
These boots are a bit overpriced, but they are adorable and worth it. They run true to size, and cut off a third of the way down the calf. Easy to dress up with a mini or dress down with leggings/jeans. They are a slightly darker color than pictured ( I purchased the tan ones) but still super cute. Highly recommend, love Howsty boots! Vintage feel and one of a kind :)
Love this little boot. I wanted something fun for going out, but that would still be comfortable for walking around. Really hard to find, but these boots fit the bill. Great quality leather - thick, supple, soft, comfortable right out of the box. I'm not usually one for calf hair but it's used here as an accent and I find it tasteful and not over the top. The heel height feels like 2 or 2.5 inches, not 3. The thicker heel is what makes it easy to wear. My feet tend to be a tad wide though not enough for an official "wide" size. These boots accommodate my little toes with not a pinch! I'm a size 6.5 nearly all the time, 7 if I plan to wear thick socks. I ordered the 7 at first, and they arrived as a euro size 38. Too big. Ordered the size 6 which is euro size 37 and they fit perfectly. I don't understand why Anthro doesn't just list these boots in their true Euro size. Save everyone some time (and shipping!). But that was my only irritation. Only thing someone might dislike about this boot is that the leather covering the arch and ankle is a tad roomy. It doesn't affect the fit at all, only the aesthetic. I think it's got a beautiful line, but if you like your boot to grip your foot and ankle, this is not the one for you.

These boots are really cute. They do run a little large, I might try putting in something to keep my foot from sliding around. I probably could have gotten a size smaller. I wear 6/12 and ordered 7. They are large around the top of the foot, not so much in the length.
Really lovely pair of boots- they look very similar to the image. If anything differs, it would be the color of the heel.. appears a bit more reddish purple in real life than in the picture would suggest.
I usually don't wear shoes with a very tall heel, so perhaps that's partly the reason (could also be because I have wider feet), but these shoes were VERY uncomfortable the first day I wore them. So painful that I was about to try to return them the next day. But I decided to stick it out, and have worn them a few more times since then. While they still are not comfortable by any means, they're bearable... and worth it considering how cute and flattering they are. So if you're used to wearing heels or have narrower feet, then I'd say definitely go for it! But if either of those two statements don't apply to you, then you've been warned :)
But I'm still happy with my purchase and hope that with more wear they will become less uncomfortable!

The ad is not truthful about heel height. It is a 3 3/4" heel.
The fit is snug, so maybe order a size up, especially if you plan on wearing more than a stocking or tights with these boots.

Beautiful in real life, but I should have listened to the prior review and sized up. My normal 9.5 was a no-go; hoping the size 10s I exchanged for will work.
