This dress is undeniably beautiful and well-made, but I have already returned it to Anthro. I made the mistake of ordering regular sizing and not petite, but I could have sworn that petites were not available at the time I ordered. If you are interested in this dress and are shorter than 5'4", I highly recommend the petite sizing. I'm 5'3" since the regular hit about 3" below the knee. The awkward length made this dress look matronly.
Also, between every one of the buttons is a French hook. Yes, it helps the placket lay flat, but it was a time-consuming nuisance to get this dress on even though you really only have to unbutton and unhook to to the waistband and step in. But yes, that really is part of the impeccable construction. I just don't have the patience personally.
The dress is heavy! When I pulled it out of the package, I was surprised by the sheer weight of the garment. It wasn't so bad when it was on, but because of the weight and design details, I couldn't imagine cleaning it myself or the cost of having it dry-cleaned.
And it runs big. I should have sized down, petites or no. But yes, it's a five star dress for the person who it fits properly.

Beautifully Made - Runs Large
The fabrics are beautiful, the construction is sound, and the design is flattering! It feels mature and sophisticated. I bought this dress and the Prairie Dusk dress both in a size 12 - which on the size chart runs 39.5 - 31.5 - 41.5. I measure 39 - 32.5 - 48 and it slid right on. Very much outlines my behind, pulls a tiny bit in the front (easily fixed with shapewear) but doesn't feel tight. Even though my waist is an inch larger than the size chart, the dress could be tailored up to two inches at the waist. It would in fact be more flattering if I did that. I haven't decided yet if I should pay for tailoring, try a size smaller (which is ridiculous, I am not a size 10, especially not in clingy bottoms), or return it. If you are worried it won't fit your curvaceous hips - give it try - you might be surprised!

classy & Sexy
This dress is drop dead smokin when you try it on! I went into the store to try on the Carissima dress in black, which is a VERY similar style to the Mona and since they didn't have that dress in-store, I tried the Mona instead. I'm really glad I did. First off, I tried the only size they had, a 2, and even that could have worked b/c of the stretchy fabric. I knew that all I would have to do is purchase the size 4 and it would still be very fitted but comfortable. The fabric is thick and well designed to literally smooth your body like a Spanx! No need to wear a bra or anything underneath if you want a nice, clean line. Please don't think this dress is too conservative or blah based on the photos. This dress is the kind of sexy that sexy should be....subtle and classy. Not to mention that I love not having to bring a coat or jacket along to my event b/c the 3/4 length sleeve of this dress is plenty cozy...also, you can unbutton to mid chest if you'd like a little more somethin' going on other than a fully buttoned up look. I am 5'10, 145 and slender and the size 4 is perfect. I think this dress runs alittle big b/c normally I wouldn't buy a 4 in cocktail attire. I'm a solid 5 or 6 usually.
This is beautiful! I ordered this in the moss and when it arrived I was actually shocked at how nice this was in person. It is very soft and comfortable and the color is gorgeous. It is less brown looking and more deep green in person than the picture depicts. The top is fitted and bottom is flowy without being maternity like. The pictures do not do this justice in my opinion. I have broad shoulders, bigger arms, and a large chest (36DD) and ordered a large and it fit perfectly up top. If I was slightly smaller in the shoulders I could have easily sized down. It hides all of the problem areas and I believe it is perfect for curvier women. This is so comfortable it makes you feel like you are in your pajams. What a great fall piece! I suggest if you are on the fence about this based on these photos that you either find it in a store or order it online and once you see it you will fall in love!

Works for Maternity!!
I am 5'4", and nine months pregnant...
I saw this dress & thought… "hey, that could work over this little belly" -- and it does!
Being terribly lactose intolerant (when not pregnant) I have a lot of experience with "belly clothes," and a lot of my shirts / dresses from pre-pregnancy still work throughout pregnancy… so, I am excited that this dress will also work post-pregnancy and make eating cheese "safe."
Lots of discussion that this dress "runs big" -- and the body might, but the shoulders do not. I wear a small generally, ordered a small, that fits in the shoulders -- I could not wear an extra-small in the shoulders.

LOVE this dress!
Absolutely LOVE this dress! Bought it in wine color. Very comfortable and cute! I have practically lived in this dress since I got it and wear it at least once per weekend! Disappointed I didn't also get it in the purple/blue color while it was still available.
I'm 5'2 and 128b and the medium fits me perfectly! I didn't order a petite and I'm fine. I love the comfortable fabric, unique pattern, and dimension of the draped neck. The top is more fitted around the waist but nothing that I think is too tight or unflattering. (If your waist is on the bigger side, size up)

Finally a fitted top. Shame on the sold out sizes.
My biggest complaint about this top is that I don't believe it ever actually existed in petite sizes. The first day I saw it online (early September) it was already sold out in all xxs, xs petite sizes--- my size (they were sold out in all petite sizes at the time). So, I ordered an XS hoping it would fit. The quality of the fabric is great, the colors are autumnal and beautiful. But also, it is a fitted top! Anthro has so many baggy, non-fitted tops these days. It was nice to see something that shows a girl's figure. Alas, I am truly a petite and the XS was too big. Bummer. I've been to the store twice and overheard people asking for the top in their size (they weren't carrying it in any size in the San Francisco store). It's a winner if it fits!

Stunning -- just as it appears online!
This shirt is beautiful. I feel it runs perhaps half a size small, so I'm stuck in between my usual XS, which is quite fitted (tight) in the arms and under the bust, and the S, which is baggy all over. So I need to work that out. But the colors are amazing and the style is flattering, whichever size I keep. It prettily shows a good portion of the neck and collar bone and sort of drapes around the bust below. The colors and style are exactly as shown online, and the fabric is dreamily soft.
Contrary to other reviewers i feel the arm size is perfect, if not a bit large. I wear this top tucked in, and it does wrinkle at the bottom where it's tucked as the other reviewer complained, but since it's tucked you can't see that anyways. Wrinkling on the rest of the top during the day is not an issue. Also I don't see what people are saying about the back hem being cut abnormally shorter than the front? Mine does not have this issue at all. However there are very deep slits on the sides that do make tucking difficult because they go above the belt line about an inch.
In agreement with others the fall leaf floral pattern is really stinkin' cute! It is cut very deep in the neck and I wear with a colorful tank otherwise it's guaranteed to flash people. Also the tank helps skin not show on the sides in that inch above the belt line where the side slits go up too far. The rayon makes this really flowy and soft. :) fits TTS

This top drapes nicely. The colors are fantastic. You can dress it up or down. Goes well with jeans and navy cropped pants. I even wore it with the tailored Charlie burgundy crops with neutral colored shooties. You'll love re-inventing yourself with this top as a part of your closet collection.

Love the Colors!
I bought this shirt in both red and blue. The colors/patterns are fantastic. The red is in not a pure cherry red, it has a bit of orange tone to it, which I like. The shirt is soft and hangs nice when tucked in (no bulge that some shirts have when tucked). I have only worn each of them once so i can't speak to the longevity after cleaning. I only wish the v-neck wasn't quite so deep. It is as pictured, but I like to show a little less in the workplace. It seems to fit true to size. I usually where a small or extra small at anthro and the size 6 fits me well. Overall I love both of them!
I tried this on in a regular size zero, which was quite my mistake, as I am usually a regular size 4 and thought I had grabbed that size. I'd say this runs big, as I was able to zip up the size zero without an issues, though I would probably size up to purchase. For reference, I am 5'1' and 118 lbs and usually a 4P or SP. The dress fell a couple of inches above my knees, which I thought was flattering.
The shoulders fell a little off the shoulder for me- sleeves like this sometimes drive me crazy as I keep wanting to pull them up to cover my shoulders. The top portion of the dress has a leotard look to it, which I like.
As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit short-waisted. I thought the overall look was flattering, as the skirt has a bit of an A-line shape to it.
The fabric is soft and has a good weight to it. Overall, I definitely think it is worth the price tag.

great fall dress
i bought the two summer versions of this dress and i loved them, but the scoop neck is a little low and occasionally my bra shows. i bought this dress because everything else was great about the others.
and this one is close to perfect. the ballet scoop neck line looks so elegant, and not too low.
the skirt hits at the smallest part of my waist and falls nicely….not to straight, not to flowly.
hits above the knee on me (5'5), in the same place it hits the model.
and the skirt has all of the lovely deep colors pictured.
i also enjoy the stretch fabric. again, not too heavy but not too flowy.
i am smaller on top, larger on bottom. 34A, 27 waist, 37 hips, 5'5, 127 lbs. 0 fits me perfectly….
the arms are slightly tight when i put them on, but the fabric stretches and is comfortable.
my only complaint is that i cannot buy another in a different pattern.

Comfortable and Cute
I went to anthro looking for dresses I could wear for work, I work in a business atmosphere and so the length of dresses is tricky for me because I am rather tall. I had seen this dress online and instantly loved it and when i went into my local store i was even more enthralled. My only grievance is that it is a little low cut for work but a scarf easily remedied that. So happy I purchased it. Great for fall and winter.
I saw this in-store in the grey floral print and loved the colors, so I grabbed one to try on. Absolutely love it. Silky soft cotton, very flattering neckline and overall cut. I bought it in a Small (34D, 5'2", hourglass figure) but could have opted for an XS too I think as it seems to run a little big (I tend to size up as many Anthro tops of mine have shrunk even washed in cold water/line dried). I am definitely going to order more colors, it is such a flattering cut and so so comfortable. Really love the Pure + Good brand, keep it coming! :)

Great basic tee!!
I love the Pure+Good brand. I have two of the tees from last season, which are longer and more tunic-like. This top in medium fits nicely. I am 5'2", 118 lbs. and have a large chest, so the scoop neckline is very flattering. It is not clingy and hits me at the right spot near my hips. I chose the Wine color and it's a beautiful shade. I might buy the gray, too, but I have an abundance of gray tops!! I think this will be another one of my go-to's for the fall/winter!

Great Everyday Tee
Purchased this in the Rose Color. By the way, be sure to click on all of the colors, the Rose is actually a striped tee. The blackground almost looks like a muted tie dye.
I wear a large or extra large (mainly an extra large) and brought this tee in the XL.
It fits terrific. It lays beautifully without being clingly. I may actually order one of the other prints, its one of those comfy tops that you love to have in your closet to wear with jeans.
I adore Anthro's selection of sweater dresses this season. Here is yet another winner. My usual XXSP runs TTS and fits my 5'0" frame exactly as pictured. The turquoise color is a lovely, rich, quintessentially Fall "mallard" blue-green. The dress gently conforms to the body while leaving room for layers and secures with a quality zipper and hook-and-eye closure in back. The raised seaming down the center and around the patch pockets lends character to an otherwise simple silhouette. The boiled wool is substantial yet light, though unfortunately unlined and more itchy than I'd prefer...
I do fear this dress might stretch out, as boiled wool can do when it isn't anchored by a layer of lining. Even so, I believe this dress is worth the price. It's versatile and classic. Mine will remain a cool-weather staple for years to come, and the outfit possibilities will make it new again each time I wear it.

I love this dress. Got the wine color as well, but in regular. Petite fits much better.

lovely dress, but runs large & has awkward pockets
First the good things: the color of the dress is deep and lovely, and the boiled wool is very nice and cozy for the Fall/Winter while still looking stylish. The darting is a nice touch as well and gives the dress flattering lines.
Now the less than good: This dress seems to run very large. I ordered a Petite XS and was completely swimming in it, from the bust all the way through the hips. (For reference, I am 5'4" and 115 lbs.)
Also, the dress has these awkward pockets, which seem like they should be great, but actually create unattractive bulges around the hips that ruin the line of the dress (despite the dress being too large). Apparently it never occurred to the designers of the dress that adding 2 additional layers of boiled wool underneath one small part of the dress would create bulges.
I decided not to return the dress, because I liked some things about it -- but I did need to alter it. I had to take in the sides substantially, and I removed the pockets. Since the dress is an unlined sheath it's easy enough to do if you're at all handy with a sewing machine -- but probably wouldn't be worth it if you had to pay a tailor to do the alterations.
